The heavy rain kept falling until the latter part of the night as it gradually stopped.

The next morning the sun was shining brightly. Ning Wan forgot to draw the curtains when he fell asleep last night, so he was awakened early by the blinding sunlight. He rubbed his eyes and sat up. Feeling that something was amiss, he propped his head for a while, before he figured out what was wrong – the house, it was too quiet.
Perhaps because of the special nature of his occupation, Shen Shuyun’s work and rest time was very regular; his biological clock was very punctual too, no matter how late he slept, he would get up before eight o’clock the next day and make some breakfast for them.

Ning Wan picked up his phone and saw that it was already nine o’clock.

He frowned and thought, even if today is Saturday, Shen Shuyun should not be still asleep by this hour. Ning Wan thought about it again and again, and was getting worried. He put on his slippers and went to Shen Shuyun’s bedroom door to check on him.

He knocked on the closed door in front of him and asked, “Brother Yun? Are you awake?”
No one answered.

Ning Wan had to knock twice more and raise his voice a bit: “Brother Yun? Are you in there?”

Behind the thick wooden door, a trace of a moan escaped, then a familiar voice came from behind the door, “I … I’m fine … Don’t you come in!”
As soon as Ning Wan heard the pain in the other’s voice, he could care less about anything else. He directly hit the door, hard to break in.

The moment the door opened, Ning Wan was hit by a rich jasmine scent and almost fell backwards.

But Ning Wan knew that now was not the time, he gritted his teeth and held back, roughly rubbing his bulging temples to suppress the screaming desire in his body for a few moments before walking towards Shen Shuyun who was wrapped up in a ball on the bed.

Shen Shuyun’s head was buried in the quilt, wrapped like a silkworm chrysalis. The heat on Shen Shuyun’s body, even through a layer of pajamas, was hot enough to make Ning Wan’s heart tremble. He wrinkled his brow and reached out to touch Shen Shuyun’s forehead – there was a dense layer of sweat beads covering it, and the abnormal heat conveyed a message to Ning Wan through his palm: Shen Shuyun had a fever.

“How did this happen, did you catch a cold last night?” Ning Wan bent down and tried to pick the omega up, “Brother Yun, I’ll take you to the hospital.”

Shen Shuyun was a little confused by the fever, but he subconsciously resisted the word “hospital” very much. He rolled over and got out of Ning Wan’s arms, clutching the blanket tightly, pouting his mouth and yelling, “I’m not going!”

He bent down and stroked Shen Shuyun’s sweaty hair falling on his forehead and pushed it behind his ear, he then softly advised, “If you’re sick, you have to go to the hospital, otherwise how can you get well, right?”

Shen Shuyun was feverish and confused. He opened his eyes, for a long time before recognizing that it was Ning Wan in front of him. His cheeks that were burnt red got even redder by three shades. He shook his head and buried his face into the pillow, his voice hoarse: “I really don’t want to go to the hospital; I’ll be fine with some medicine, really.”

Ning Wan’s attitude was very firm on his decision: “No, this matter cannot be left to you.”

After saying that, he found a windbreaker for Shen Shuyun, wrapped him up, and then picked him up again and walked towards the door. This time, Ning Wan hugged him very tightly and didn’t give Shen Shuyun a chance to break free.

Shen Shuyun was burning with fever, his arms and legs were weak, it was impossible for him to defy Ning Wan and could only hit Ning Wan’s shoulder twice.

Ning Wan felt some pain in his shoulder, lowered his head and saw Shen Shuyun glaring at him. He could not help but grin out a mouthful of big white teeth: “Brother Yun, you be reasonable here, if I don’t hold you well, you will fall to the ground.”
Shen Shuyun closed his eyes. He was so angry that his liver hurt. He could only silently comfort himself in his heart.

Self-advice: others can get angry but I’m different. Who would like to be angry? Besides, it hurts the mind and takes a lot of energy. If I am angry I will only hurt myself ……

Ning Wan took Shen Shuyun to the hospital, registered him, and accompanied him to do a checkup, they then waited for their turn.
When their number was finally called, Ning Wan wanted to carry Shen Shuyun into the consultation room, but Shen Shuyun refused with a red face, “I can walk by myself, I’m not feverish enough for that.”

The doctor looked at the examination sheet and first had the nurse give Shen Shuyun a pheromone stabilizer, after which he prescribed him two bottles of IV and told the nurse to lead the patient to get the transfusion.
Shen Shuyun seemed reluctant and looked at Ning Wan with a pair of moist pleading eyes, and only after the nurse repeatedly urged him to leave the consultation room and head downstairs to the injection room that he resignedly got up and followed her.
Ning Wan was just about to accompany Shen Shuyun out when the doctor stopped him: “Sir, please stay for a bit.”

“Doctor, is there anything else?”

“I would like to ask, what is your relationship with the patient? Are you Mr. Shen’s alpha?”

Ning Wan licked his lips, “I am. What’s wrong?”

“Oh,” the omega doctor pushed back his glasses and hesitated for a moment before speaking again:
“I just wanted to ask …… do you know that his pheromones are very chaotic right now?”

“What?”
