If poetries were written by pen
then why did I wrote one with pain?
Why do I write poetries with blood as my ink?
Why do they write one overflowing with love and affection
whilst mine is devoid of emotions?
If poets weave pieces with wonderful metaphors and some personification
then why is mine made of nasty scars, the ugly shadows I wanted to hide,
the monsters screaming in my mind, lurking in the corners of the dark.
If poetries were supposed to be a pretty creation then why am I writing about destruction?
Or those ghosts scaring me to no end,
the remnants of the past that keeps haunting me,
the never ending nightmares.
If poetries were written with daisies and sunshine,
or the rainbows and flower petals,
then why is mine an ocean of tears drowning me.
Some were just written with none but emptiness,
or fleeting emotions, or the erupting feelings kept inside.
I suppose, poetries were written
depending on how the writers wanted to relay
the message they wanted to convey.
That poetries were the voice of the poets,
the words they want to say.
I suppose poetries differs on the writers, their emotions, or the way they view the world the see.-Scarlet Rain | If
