Captivated

It was all too sudden
but the moment your gaze met mine
you created havoc in my system
and made me feel that horde of butterflies

in the hollow of my chest
in the pit of my stomach
my heart went wild
and it was all because of that smile

You were not my definition of a dream guy
or the standard I have in mind
you were not even cute in my vocabulary
or dashing for my liking

Was it your charisma?
Your voice? Or your smile?
Or that gorgeous infinite eyes
that got me lost and can't find the way out

I really didn't know the reason
even when I ransacked my brain for it
It's just that, in a short span of time
in that dreamland, you had my heart in captive.
