"Oww!!" I yelled, my hand unknowingly went behind my head where I felt a hit that almost made me lose my grip over my cell phone. With a deep frown I looked down only to find a colourful sandal laying near my shoes. My lips parted in surprise as I realized the hit at the back of my head was from this sandal.
Shoving my phone back in my pocket, I bent down to pick up the evidence of the crime that occurred just now. I glared at the inanimate thing in my hand which dared to disturb my peaceful time.
"Excuse me, I am sorry it was a mistake...I was dancing and that slipped off my feet."
That voice, I know this one. With a swift movement I turned on my heel to look at the source of that voice. Her shocked face upon seeing me was enough to confirm my suspicion. I tilted my head with a sarcastic smile, shooting glares her way. Taking a slow step forward, I extended my hand.
"Nice to see you Again, Dr. Khanna." Those mockery laced words slipped off my tongue effortlessly as I leaned my torso forward, clearly enjoying her annoyed face.
Earlier that day....
Author's perspective
"Bro, you need to see a doctor okay! The toothache won't vanish magically."
The shorter man sitting across the table tried to argue with the dark brown haired man who sat there holding his left cheek, groaning in pain but refused to admit the need to see a good dentist. After sulking for a bit more, he stood up with a huff pushing his chair back a few inches and spoke in a muffled voice due to the pain he was experiencing.
"Shut up! Rohan I am perfectly fine. Oww..oww.."
Clenching his eyes shut in pain once again, he held his cheek tighter as if that would be any help to the stinging pain he felt. Rohan, who was calm until now, also stood up from his chair, taking swift steps in the direction of the man with 'Perfect teeths'. He pointed his finger against his friend's chest and spoke in a voice laced with sarcasm.
"Oh Ofcourse Ofcourse, you are here romancing yourself by holding your cheek like that since morning."
Pushing his hair backwards, he took a few steps back and picked up his phone laying on the desk which was placed in the middle of the office expanded over several feets. Rohan tapped his fingers on the screen a few times while his friend looked over at him with a bored look still keeping his palm over his swollen cheek. Keeping the phone back on the desk, Rohan spoke up with a slightly louder voice.
"I have booked an appointment for you and you are going to see the dentist in the evening. I will text you other details."
"Stop ordering me around!"
Yelled out, Siddharth, followed by a groan as his tooth hurts even more by yelling. Rohan, his bestfriend, gave him a 'I told you so' look after watching his friend cursing in pain. He shrugged his shoulders before walking out of the office, not forgetting to taunt his 'sick' bestfriend on his way out.
"Don't forget to get your cavities checked Mr. Kapoor."
Without turning back, he walked out of the office while the owner of it stayed seated on his revolving chair, still whining in pain as his pain increased more and more. Not having any choice, he checked the details Rohan had sent him regarding the dentist's appointment.
He rolled his eyes while looking at his phone's screen which displayed that the appointment was still in two hours.Oh boy! How was he going to tolerate this 'blissful' pain for another two hours? Just the thought of having to sit on that dentist chair made him sweat but Mr. Siddharth Kapoor, the biggest business tycoon in the whole of Mumbai was too adamant to admit his fear of injections.
