MYRA'S POV

Two prints of the report for the conference, three different types of folder, four office shirts, five dresses and a random book?

A sigh escaped my lips as I stared at the mess on the bed. None of it made any sense at this point!

Keeping my hands on either side of my hips, I tilted my head as if a little twist in my view would make it make sense.

Rolling my eyes, I grunted both tiredly and in irritation. Packing had never been my strong game.

The more I tried to do it, the more I realised how I really sucked it.

Ugh! I should have made a list!! Or at least not procrastinate till the last day.

Two suitcases laid open on the bed. Both of them were almost full yet I felt like I was leaving behind all my essentials.

"I am going crazy!" I rushed back to my wardrobe. More than half of the cabinets were opened, making the place look like a bomb just exploded in here.

Even searching for a dog would be difficult in the litter I had caused. I skimmed my eyes over all the clothes, and picked a few dresses and tops before walking back towards the bed.

"Ow!" I groaned as I tumbled on the bed, all the cloth pieces in my hand scattered around, after my feet toppled with the handles of the shopping bags kept beside the bed.

I whined in frustration, throwing the skirt that landed on my head to the corner of the bed. Pushing myself with the help of my elbows, I sat up looking around in horror as I kept adding more to the shambles.

That's why I didn't even pack for my wedding. My mother just transferred everything from my closet and here most of my stuff was arranged by a house help.

With a pout on my lips, I let out another sigh. "Fuck!" I stared at the new clothes which now all spreaded on the floor, spilling out of the paper bags. "I didn't even put these in!"

My eyes widened at the realisation so I quickly stood up on my feet and started gathering the brand new clothes off the floor. At this point, I was surprised by my stupidity.

"Phew!" I took a deep breath and threw the clothes back on the bed, which apparently looked like a godown of a clothing brand now.

That's when I noticed the calendar lying by my feet, I must have knocked it down from the night stand when I fell.

Picking it up, I sat on the edge of the bed. A current passed through my heart as I slowly traced my fingers over the circled date.

17th December...

Tomorrow was a big day. I couldn't leave the slightest of the chance for anything to go wrong tomorrow. It had to be perfect and I had to make sure of it.

A grin appeared on my face as I recalled the shine in Siddharth's eyes when he told me that we would be doing a pooja before the first brick of his dream project gets laid tomorrow; before our flight to Singapore which was after midnight. Almost 30 hours or so from now.

Villa-27, the project was yet to be announced in public and media. The passion he harboured for it was admirable and respectful.

"You are my luck, so I want you to lay down the foundation of my biggest dream. I wouldn't be here if you weren't by my side."

It was the day after my family drama that Siddharth told me about the small ceremony he was planning and he wanted me to be okay with it since the auspicious day fell a day before our flight.
