MYRA'S POV
"Who changed my clothes??"
My words came out louder than I anticipated, evident of the urgency of my question. Sanvi's lips turned upside from a corner, forming a smirk as she shrugged her shoulders before answering nonchalantly.
"Of Course....He did. He is your soon to be husband after all."
Horror flashed in front of my face as I stood up with a jolt. My eyes widened in sheer shock as if I just saw a ghost. Sanvi turned her lips downwards like it was obvious and no big deal. My blood boiled, maybe from anger or embarrassment making my cheeks flush red.
"Sanvi, don't joke about this!"
I warned her while pointing my forefinger at her as if it was a sword. If it turned out to be a ridiculous joke of hers, She was so dead this time. Sanvi shook her head in denial, still rigid on her previous statement. My eyes widened when I saw my mother giggling too, joining Sanin's teasing.
Blood rushed throughout my body, I wish it was still a nightmare of mine. Letting out a huff, I jumped over the couch sprinting towards my room, to call him. Mr. Kapoor got some explanations to do.
Roaming my eyes around the room, I desperately searched for my phone. An audible breath left my mouth, as I spotted the device at the nightstand. Taking a seat on the bed, My fingers furiously typed his name.
My pluses raced against time matching with each ring of the call, my leg shook continuously as I waited for him to pick up the call. Blood had risen up from my cheeks to my ears, making me go all hot as well.
Finally after 5 rings, He picked up the call and instead of a greeting I only received a groan from his side, a sleepy groan. He sounded still half asleep. It made me feel a little bad for disturbing his sleep after he stayed up last night to help us. Wait! the clothes, that's what he did last night too.
Ignoring the chill that ran down my spine after hearing his deep raspy voice, I gulped hard before forming my question,
"What the fuck did you do last night?"
A confused voice escaped his lips, echoing in the room through the other side of the phone. I heard some shuffling of sheats before he spoke.
"I was at the hospital with you. What drugs are you on Myra this early in the morning?"
His voice was laced with confusion as if he was the most innocent man on the planet and didn't do what Sanvi claimed. I breathed out air from my nose hoping it would release some anger from me but his taunting words only added more to my annoyance.
"Look at the clock, 12: 25, I don't think it's morning Mr. Kapoor."
"Oh damn right! Thanks for waking me up, I had a meeting in the afternoon."
His voice gave away that he was smirking. Some more shuffling and footsteps sound was heard as if he got up from the bed. I clenched my fist at his inconsiderate actions.
"I am not your alarm clock."
I argued and stood up from the bed, ready to punch him in the face even though he was a few miles away. I wish there was an option to smack people from the phone, I would pay a hefty amount of money to use it right now.
"Just accept the thanks while I am saying it."
He spoke coolly as the sound of a water running tap came from his side. Was he even listening to me? I mapped my whole room with fast steps, my pulse throbbed against my skin. I couldn't shake off the image of him-
