SIDDHARTH'S POV
A beat of hesitation passed as I gathered enough courage to finally say, "Can you make a nice pattern from these scattered colours?"
Surprisingly, she agreed, "Oh of Course." Instead of a scornful remark that I had expected, her tone rather showed excitement.
I stood there stunned, not being able to believe that I wasn't in any kind of dream. Who even allowed reality to be this beautiful suddenly?
Myra came back with a fresh brush. My gut clenched at the sight. I swallowed hard yet my throat remained dried up. Clenching my fist, I moved forward.
"Ready?" Myra's tone turned hoarse than usual. So I wasn't the only one at the mercy of this electrifying pull that stretched between us.
"Hmm." was all I could say.
One step closer and she stood just a breath away from me, I didn't even need to move if I wanted to kiss-shut up! ,I told myself. Myra gathered a faint smile before bending sound as the paintbrush rolled around my t-shirt, tickling me badly.
Every brush of her hand against my chest or stomach would make me shiver internally. I almost regretted asking Myra to do this when she moved up, just below my neck.
My nails dig deeper into my palm as her hot breath fanned over my neck. Dipping my head, I gazed at her who looked extremely focused on making random patterns. Blazing and fluttering warmth settled itself in every corner of my body.
"Don-" Myra's words were cut off in the middle as she looked up, causing her head to brush against my chin. My hands immediately sneaked themselves around her waist, keeping her stable.
A swallow ran down her throat as she stared at me, I couldn't read her eyes at that time, my mind felt too foggy to think straight. I stepped back, I had to or I would have ended up doing something she would have hated me for.
That sparkling air stretched between us and jolted us back to reality with a hit. "I just realised something." Running my tongue over my dried lips, I continued "We have to go home, looking like this."
Both of us stared down at ourselves. A nervous chuckle left Myra's mouth as she straightened her, now "colourful", dress "Shit!"
"Well, let's take a picture for the memory?" I forgot about all the embarrassment for the shine of her eyes as she threw that question at me. I would embarrass myself a thousand times more if it made her happy.
"Ofcourse." I said and picked up the camera before bringing it back to her. A soft smile brushed her even softer lips as she took the camera from me.
Standing in front of me, Myra turned on the selfie mode and positioned the camera to capture our face while the sun lit up sky acted as an aesthetic background for our picture.
"Hey! Look at the camera on me." Myra nudged me with her elbow causing me to tear my eyes away from her as I looked at her. Our faces were placed side to side in the camera. My pulse fluttered.
"Say cheese." She grinned wide, showing off her teeths. A smile creeped on my lips too as I tilted my head, in that exact moment Myra pressed the shutter button capturing our faces together for forever in that device.
We looked super happy in the picture. The camera may be super modernised and come with a lot of features nowadays yet it would never be able to capture the real raw emotions behind a picture.
