POV: Leah
"Where the hell is she?!", I shouted through the tunnel. I finally spotted G and Keira, they were walking together and they looked like shit.
"Guys", I got their attention. As soon as they saw me, their faces dropped and I detected compassion and sadness in their eyes.
"Leah", Keira said. Something about that voice... I've never heard her use that voice.
"Keira, is she okay?", I asked frantically. I needed answers yesterday.
"We don't know. Nobody knows. She was brought to the hospital. She uhm, she", G hesitated to tell me what happened. I think she just couldn't.
"She flatlined on our bus, twice", Keira told me to cut G some slack.
"But she's conscious now?", I asked. Why does Lou have the most terrible life?
"We don't know. Steph called Gareth on the bus, and he sent our medical staff. They did some tests on her but then we arrived so they put her in an ambulance right away. We didn't see anything after that", Keira explained the rest. But I felt like there was something more.
"What is it? Spit it out", I asked. I was done with today, I just wanted to go to the hospital.
"They uhm. They still want us to play, nobody cancelled the match", G muttered. Great. Just great.
"Alright. We can manage that. That's cool. Nope, that's not cool, I need to go to the hospital", I talked to myself.
"We're here because of that. We knew you'd want to go, can you keep us updated? You can have a number from our staff, so we aren't left in the dark", Keira told me.
"I can do that, yes. If Jonas lets me go", I said. That was the hard part, convincing him. Or so I thought.
"Jonas will do that. Get out of here Leah", Jonas appeared behind us. That sneaky little shit was listening to our conversation. But I didn't care, I hugged my two best friends and got the hell out of here. I was in my full match kit, but again I didn't care.
I got out of the tunnel and searched for my mom. I needed to keep her in the loop, she came to watch the two of us play and she wouldn't see either one.
I walked along the stadium until I found her. And apparently it was a family meeting, because I saw that everyone came. Even Alex and Tobin.
"Guys", I sniffled. I already shed some lone tears, but I didn't have time to cry.
"Leah, how are you sweetheart", mom didn't notice that something was going on.
"I need to go. I wanted you guys to know what was going on because you won't see Louise or me on the pitch today", I explained. I was in a hurry so this needed to be done quickly.
"Are you okay? Is she? What's going on?", Lisa asked. I think her twin telepathy kicked in.
"She's in an ambulance right now", I directed myself to the Americans and her.
"I don't know anything, except that she's flatlined at least twice", I said.
"Guys, you can come if you want to, but I got to go right now. I'm going to the hospital", I added.
"We'll come, are we all going?", mom asked.
"Yeah, let's go", Alex said. She didn't say much because I think she was in shock. She just wanted her baby girl to be fine.
We got back into our cars which we came with. I drove separately, and mom got in the car with dad, Jacob and Felix. Alex and Tobin took Lisa with them.
I was scared. I almost didn't want this drive to be over, because now I had an excuse for why I knew nothing. I didn't want to arrive, because what if...? What if.
