POV: Alex
"How is she?", I asked Leah. We brought Louise to the hospital to be sure, and Leah hasn't left her side ever since. Nobody talked with her, so we don't know what happened in the room with her mom.
"The same. She hasn't woken up. But it's okay, the doctors say it's normal. They came by to review her stats, and apparently her stress levels were through the roof", she answered.
"Poor kid. I'll for ever feel bad about how her life turned out to be", I sighed while I sat down in a chair next to Leah. I saw her shifting in her seat, growing uncomfortable. I understand where she's coming from, what would you say?
"I'm glad she has you. I know you've had your ups and downs, but I can see you care for her", I smiled to change the subject.
"I don't just care for her, Alex. I really love her. I think I love her more than myself", she turned to me. This girl is pure kindness, love, and all the good aspects about life combined.
"I'm happy for you two. Know that you can come to me for anything, alright? I've missed out on eighteen years of her life. I want to be there for her, and that means you too", while I said this, I saw her struggling to ask something.
"What's up?", I urged her to just spit it out.
"I euh, well, I mean, I...", she recomposed herself while I just gave her the time to say it. I already knew what she'd say anyways. Or ask...
"I wanted to ask you this a couple days ago", she finally got out.
"Hmmppfff", Louise grunted. Really? You couldn't wait another minute?
POV: Louise
This is so comfortable. I might take this mattress home. And this pillow, wow. I grunted while I tried to make myself even more comfortable.
"Louise? Are you awake?", I heard Leah ask me.
Why does everyone always asks me questions? Now I have to open my eyes. But I'll do anything for her. My Leah.
"Where is 'here'?", I asked. I couldn't let go of my sarcasm, not even a second. Shoot me.
"Oh, good you're awake. Now go back to sleep for another two minutes, we were just wrapping up our conversation", mom said. I had trouble with seeing her face as I just woke up, but I swear I could see her grinning Leah's way.
"Alex", my girlfriend scolded my mom. I never knew I could see the day, but here we are.
"You're in the hospital babe. You blacked out at the stadium. You're fine, the doctors think you were just dealing with one too many things. They were astonished you didn't collapse sooner, seeing as your stress was so high. But you're okay now", Leah explained.
'Fine', 'okay', both an interesting choice of words. But let's go with those for now then.
"What happened with my mom?", I wanted to know. Send that bitch to prison for all I care.
"I'm right here Lous", mom said. Yeah, no, I know that.
"You know who I mean", I answered with an eye-roll.
"They escorted her to the police. I don't know what they did with her but my guess is that she'll have to wait to see the outside for a while", mom said.
"I hope they never let her out. She wasn't even sad about Noah. Felix was her favourite, but she loved him too. She loved anyone who wasn't me for that matter", I said coldly while I was staring at the wall in front of me. I felt Le grabbing my hand. At least I have her.
