Cata fell asleep after having her tea.
We went up to her bedroom and I held her in my arms as she seemed a bit calmer. When she called and all I could hear was her crying, I felt physical pain throughout my body. It enraged me to listen to her like that. She didn't have to say a word for me to come over right away. It only enraged me more to find out that Orion is gone and that Kane was the one who kidnapped him.
I'm in her kitchen cleaning up since I saw she was cooking and I don't think that it's going to continue. Orion's homework is on the kitchen island. Cata kept staring at it, but I've put it to the side for now so that Orion can finish it when he comes home.
I know where Kane lives.
It was information that was easy to find and that was needed when I put the hit on him. It didn't take much for me to find the house plan either. I have since then been organizing my route for entering and exiting the house with Orion. I've also been thinking about whether Orion will want to leave or not and how I would convince him to come with me.
I've been examining the security cameras that surround Cata's house too. The social worker was easy to track down, and it was all I needed to be absolutely certain that Kane Astor was the one behind this whole thing. Even before I met him, I knew he was going to bring problems.
A phone starts ringing just as I'm about to go upstairs to check on Cata. It's her phone and Lucia is the one calling. I choose to pick it up since she might just be checking in on her sister.
"Lucia." I answer.
"Silas? Why are you picking up Cat's phone? Is she okay?" She sounds surprised but worried at the same time. I don't think she knows yet.
"She's in her bedroom taking a nap." I contemplate on telling her.
I decide to do it because Cata needs all the support she can get at the moment. "Lucia, something happened." I quickly add on.
"What happened?" She sounds concerned, her voice a bit uneasy.
"Kane kidnapped Orion." It's all I'll say. think Cata should be the one to tell her the entire story.
"What? What do you mean he kidnapped him?" She quickly becomes terrified.
"It's a long story but Kane pulled off an act to kidnap Orion and Catalina is destroyed. I've calmed her down a bit but I'm sure she isn't going to be okay until she has Orion here again." I explain as I listen to her rush somewhere by the sound of her footsteps.
"That fucking idiot." She sounds pissed off too. "I'll come over in a bit to see Catalina."
She hangs up with that and I'm guessing she is going to tell Ace.
I'm going to go check up on my woman again when the phone rings for a second time. This time I see the name of the man who I'm holding back on killing. Kane Astor. I pick up without hesitation.
