Ace hands me a glass of some sort of fruit beverage that Lucia made.
He takes a seat in his chair and comfortably relaxes in it. He also has a glass of the water, and I think it may be his tenth glass. He's so in love with Lucia that he also seems to fall in love with anything that she touches or that is connected to her in any way. I don't judge him because I think I understand the feeling and fixation. It's very quickly happening to me with Cata.
Ace checks the baby monitor thing on his desk to make sure Dahlia is okay since she is sleeping. Lucia isn't here at the moment as she went to pick up Orion from school. Due to her hectic work schedule this week, Catalina is unable to go get him.
I'm anxiously anticipating our date next week. I'm going to make sure that she doesn't regret it. I'm actually pretty confident that this is finally going to go somewhere.
"How is your delusion of getting with my sister-in-law going?" Ace smirks expecting to hear that I haven't made any progress.
"We've gotten close." I smile because when I say close, I mean very fucking close.
She let me make love to her and then we cleaned up and slept in each other's arms for about an hour before I made her something to eat. It was another indication that she is my future wife. It all felt like a dream, and I have been in such a good mood ever since.
"How close?" Ace asks when seeing the smile on my face.
I'm going to speak when there is a knock on the door to the office. It then opens and in walks Orion with Lucia behind him who leans against the doorway.
"Hey, Silas." Orion comes to my side and gives me a hug.
"Orion, how are you, figlio?" I give him a big smile as I am genuinely happy to see him.
"Good, and you?" He returns a kind and beautiful smile.
He seems to inherit it from his mother, who doesn't seem to smile much, but when she does, flowers bloom and birds chirp in happiness.
"You've met Silas and you've forgotten all about me." Ace tells him causing the boy to chuckle.
He goes over to shake his hand and give him a side hug the way he did to me. "Good afternoon, Ace."
"Good afternoon, Orion." Ace smiles.
"I'll see you later, Aunt Lucia is going to give me food and I have to do homework." The kid excuses himself with us right away.
"I'll be back." Lucia tells Ace and I before leaving with him.
"You were saying." Ace speaks the moment they're gone.
"Catalina and I are going on a date." Which reminds me, I have to talk to Orion about that.
I want to make sure it's okay with him. His relationship with his mother is slowly healing and I would hate to be another reason that separates them.
