Ace and Lucia enter the apartment with Dahlia. They greet me and then Orion who is seated on the couch watching a soccer match.

"How is she?" I ask as soon as we are in the kitchen where Orion can't hear our conversation.

"Mentally and emotionally, she seems well." Lucia responds with a smile.

"Physically, she looks thinner and paler. I don't know if Kane is feeding her or if she is refusing to eat." She looks a bit more concerned with that.

I run a hand over my mouth. "The motherfucker better not be starving her, or I'll carve his stomach out."

"Were you able to give her the letter?" I ask in hopes that she did.

"I was. I'm sure she has read it by now." Lucia assures with a small smile.

"Tomorrow, we go for her. I can't stand going another day without her." I inform Ace who surprisingly nods.

He has been stopping me from doing anything for the past few days because he wants to make sure that everything is perfect.

I'm done waiting.

It's only a matter of time before Kane hurts her in some way. I refuse to allow any more time to pass.

"I think you're the most handsome kid I've ever seen." Mamma smiles big at Orion and so does my papa.

"I'm right here." I tell her causing Orion to laugh.

"You don't count you're my son, and you're an adult now." Mamma tries to justify herself and papa chuckles.

He takes a sip of his wine. "Azrael, don't be jealous."

"Since Silas is my dad does that make you both my grandparents?" Orion's sudden question makes both of my parents smile so big. In a way they never have before.

"Would you like for us to be your grandparents?" Mamma asks with hopeful anticipation.

With the beautiful smile he got from his mother, Orion nods. "Yes."

"Then we're your grandparents and there isn't any going back." Papa warns him with a playful smile.

"Call me nonna." Mamma happily tells him.

"And me nonno." Papa quickly adds in.

"Is that what they call grandparents in Italian?" Orion smartly makes the observation.

"It is." Mamma nods.

Orion gets into bed, and I assist him with putting the covers over him. He's staying in my bedroom so I'm sleeping on the couch in the living room. I have an extra room, but my parents are staying in there. The apartment's remaining rooms aren't all necessarily bedrooms. One is my personal gym, and the other one is where I keep all my work equipment.
