I arrive at Silas's restaurant, which is currently under renovations as his parents are now taking control of it.
He informed me about it some time ago because his parents are kind of moving here. I called him asking him that we meet. He was going to go to the house, but I chose to visit him instead so that I can make this quick.
I'm going to step into the empty restaurant when Silas walks out. He smiles when noticing me and gives me a kiss that I hesitate to return. He acknowledges that and gives me a small expression of confusion.
"Everything okay?" He keeps his hands on my arms.
"Not really." I give him an honest look. He's my partner so I am going to be very transparent about everything. I don't want to confuse him or hurt him.
"Come inside we can talk in there." Silas tries to lead me into the restaurant, but I stop him.
"I'm breaking up with you." I get to the point, causing him to gently let go of my arm. His precious smile fades along with his dimples.
"You're not serious." He doesn't fully believe me but is almost pleading me at once that I take my words back.
"I am." I assure. "I have to do it Silas because Kane-"
"Because we have decided to give our relationship another chance." A presence stands beside me. "We want to give Orion a family."
I glance at Kane who puts an arm around me. He followed me. He knew I would tell Silas the truth. He never said that I couldn't.
Silas stays quiet, a hard expression now on his face. His eyes avert to mine, and I try to communicate with him in that way. It's like he thankfully understands, and I see how his body physically calms down.
"Is this true?" He asks me, seeming to play along.
"It's true." Kane responds for me.
He ignores Kane and stares at me for a response. "Catalina?"
Kane pulls me closer into him. I hesitate to speak because it physically takes all my strength to even fake that I am with Kane.
"Yes." I nod, a small breath leaving me. "It's true."
Silas nods as if he is accepting it just like that. Although he still seems a bit pissed off and confused all at the same time.
"I wish you all the best then." He gives me a brief stare that indicates that we need to talk. With a faint and quick smile that I give him he walks back into the restaurant.
I back away from Kane as soon as he is gone.
"Are you happy now?" I stare at him in question and annoyment.
"Very." He smirks, staring me in the eyes. He thinks he has won.
"I expect you to bring my son home by tonight." I push past him, heading back to my car.
