I leave my apartment and head toward the parking garage.
I spent a year in Italy. I missed my parents, so I went back to live with them. In addition, I missed some friends, my country, and culture in general. I also used it as an opportunity to work around Europe. It all went incredibly well, and I had my fun.
I've come back now to check in with my good friends. I have also decided to stay here for the rest of the year. It's my last year as Ghost. I've chosen to finally retire. I'm prepared to take my life more seriously now. I want to finally settle down and start a family. I won't need to continue working because I have more than enough money to last me many lifetimes. I want my attention to be solely for my woman and children.
I do think I've found my wife already though, so I won't have to do much searching. She just doesn't know it yet. She doesn't even know my name.
"Nice glasses." A young woman suddenly speaks as I am about to enter my vehicle.
I glance over at her. She has a few piercings on her face and short black hair. She looks cool.
"Thank you." I give her a friendly smile that she returns with a small nod before leaving.
The people in this building are quite nice. Everyone I've met seems like a decent person. I was expecting the place to be full of rich snobs, but I was very wrong.
I get into my car, checking myself out in the mirror on the sun visor. My sunglasses are indeed very nice. They make me look more handsome than I already am. I will forever be grateful to my beautiful parents for blessing me with such genes.
I sigh, putting my foot on the break before turning the key and starting the car. I instantly make my way to Ace's.

I step out the vehicle to see Ace waiting for me on the doorstep with little Dahlia who isn't so little anymore. She has grown so much since I last saw her.
"I see you haven't grown grey hair yet." Is the first thing my friend says when I am standing in front of him.
I roll my eyes taking his hand and giving him a hard pat on the back. "I dyed it."
"Not surprised." He faintly smiles as I look down at my niece.
She looks up at me and I kneel to kind of get on her level of height. I give her a smile as I remove my sunglasses so that she can recognize me. I don't know if she can because she's a baby. I don't know much about baby's except that they love me for some reason.
Dahlia stares at me for a few seconds before breaking into a big smile. Her teeth have grown in and it's now that I'm noticing how much longer her hair has gotten.
"You've gotten so big but still so beautiful, fiore della dalia." I gently touch her cheek with my finger.
She stares at me with her big brown eyes that she inherited from her father. She stills smiles big before opening her small arms. I chuckle at how adorable she is as I give her the hug she wants.
