The waves gently rolling in, tickling the sand, a light fresh breeze invited in through the open doors, early morning sunlight streamed into the bedroom announcing an atypical Monday.
Jungkook could feel the CEO's breath on his face and sense the energy radiating from him before he opened his eyes.
"I have extra minty wedding breath."
The corners of the dancer's mouth turn upwards, his eyes squeezed shut.
"Wake up, Kookie."
Jungkook shakes his head, grinning playfully.
"Kookie... we've slept enough."
Tae was excited... so excited. After arriving at their accommodation, they'd slept off the jetlag, deciding that the only way to cope with going 'back in time' due to the timezone difference, was to sleep. They'd only left the bedroom to eat and go to the toilet until waking last night and sharing a bath together in the most splendid bathroom.
"Kooookieeeee!"
The CEO felt like a small child waking up on his birthday. Not only was today their second wedding day but he had the love of his life all to himself for two weeks on an island where the only people to bother them would be the those cleaning their accommodation or cooking their meals. He did feel slightly quirky and a tad uneasy about having zero contact with anything related to Purple Aura but he had to entrust in those around him. Bo-Hyun, Stefan and his father had all warned him that if they got a whiff of him anywhere near his emails, they would find a way to put him on a disciplinary, which they knew they couldn't do and Tae knew they couldn't do but they made their point. In the past he would have asked Stefan to keep it between them and he would have found a way but his spritely P.A had already told him that there would not be any secrets and he would happily go to Bo-Hyun or Yejoon... so that was that.
Jungkook opened one eye then closed it again, grinning and making himself comfortable. "Too early." he muttered sleepily.
"I will eat all the food myself, Jungkook."
"Okay." The dancer says. The switch in tone from 'Kookie' to his full name provokes the temptation to laugh but he resists.
"Are you really going to let me have breakfast alone?"
Jungkook opens his eyes and smiles wide. He's met with the innocent eyes and serious expression of the most beautiful man looking down at him. He lurches forwards and wrestles a surprised CEO onto his back, planting a big, wet kiss on his lips with a sound that is loud in the quiet room.
"I need to make my breath minty, too, then we can have breakfast?" The dancer says, grinning at his husband who still looks shocked at the sudden change in position.
"Kookie!" Tae smiles "I thought you were going to let me eat alone."
Jungkook feels playful as he covers Tae's face in kisses, "I wouldn't let my husband do that on our wedding day."
"Say that again." The CEO says, wrapping his arms around the dancer's neck.
"I wouldn't let my husband do that on our wedding day." He placed emphasis on 'my', knowing what effect it has on them both.
The couple gaze at each other lovingly, teeth on display, lines caused by the heartfelt smiles create ripples of emotion around their eyes. Tae had planned the whole day, he wanted it to be relaxed and without the rigorous schedule they'd had last Thursday. Yet, they still had places to be at certain times so he'd set their alarm early enough to ensure that they could take as much time as they needed.
"Can we open Emery and Seok's wedding gift now?" Tae calls out to Jungkook who was brushing his teeth.
There's a long pause before Jungkook answers, "Why would you ask me when my mouth is full?" he says spraying foamy white toothpaste over the mirror.
