"He... he just said it as we were leaving..." well... as I was leaving...

Jara had her lips pressed together as Phoenix painted her lips in a gloss that would reveal the reflection of anyone in conversation with her. Heeju was in the room for moral support, or so she said. She had no actual role to play aside from speaking when Jara couldn't... "Casually? I don't really know him but I know your story and I know other's opinions of Han-Shik... so... casually?"

Emi nods. She was also there for moral support, invited by Jara so that her sister-in-law felt included and 'one of the girls'. "Yes... casually. We'd both returned from our appointments and I thought he'd be in a good mood after meeting Jungkook but he wasn't and I asked him if they'd argued but he said they hadn't."

Angel waves a brush in the air as if it were a flag, "wait... I'm confused. He was in a bad mood when he said it?"

"I don't know if I'd trust that?" Heeju adds, "Do you think the brothers argued?"

"Oh, hope not! I don't want there to be an atmosphere today." Jara comments.

"There won't be! I'll make sure of it!" Heeju won't allow anyone to ruin Jara's day. She hadn't known Jara for long but she'd seen and heard her grow in confidence. Jara's self esteem was at a much more acceptable level than it had been when they'd first met. The Mother of two was quite often the quiet one who looked so unsure of herself all the time.

Heeju saw a beautiful woman with a slim, yet curvaceous figure. Jara had cheekbones to die for, according to Phoenix and Angel commented often on the thickness of her hair. The love that Kyong had for her was evident, with the two little boys showing adoration for the woman who brought them into the world. Heeju couldn't understand why parents wouldn't choose someone like Jara for their child? She was full of goodness and that led her to believe that it was all about class? The irony that Nuri and Ryan disliked their daughter-in-law because she lacked the social status and wealth that they had... when Nuri was working in the bakery before she met Ryan... it didn't make sense to the youngest Kim.

There was a lot about that woman that didn't make any sense. How did a person go from having a normal life in a family owned bakery to remarrying, ditching a son and turning into an evil witch?

Or perhaps she was always an evil witch who'd hidden it well, waiting for that opportunity to be her true, authentic, horrid self?

Heeju cried when Jara told her what life was like under that woman's control. She'd been honest when she'd told Jara that if they'd been friends she would've questioned if loving Kyong was worth it? Heeju couldn't imagine putting up with that kind of treatment for anything, regardless of how much she thought she loved someone.

But Jara was different. She had used the relationship with her husband to fuel hope. Hope that one day they would be free to live their lives away from Nuri and Ryan... and that was exactly what happened. Of course there was no way that she would have predicted everything that happened in the way it happened but the outcome was what she'd always longed for.

Heeju vowed to be that friend for Jara. The friend who would make her feel as special as she was, give her enough confidence so she felt like she was wearing bulletproof vests and be the voice of support and defence. "I mean it... there will not be a negative atmosphere today. I'll grab hotty when they arrive and see how the land lies."

Angel giggles, "She's always wanted to grab Jungkook." she says to Jara's reflection in the mirror.

"Who doesn't?" Jara agrees.

"Can we get back to the point? I want to know how someone can just say those words so casually... whilst in a bad mood... as his wife left the room?" Phoenix reminds them.
