Neither of them wanted to leave the tunnel after the brief time they spent there alone but they conceded that they had to exit eventually and people were waiting for them. Today was a happy day, one where they felt an infinite level of love from each other and those around them and they were the focal point, after all.
With the guests enjoying drinks and nibbles, they were greeted by staff who showed them to the area where their families were waiting with Raphael and the photographer from Vogue.
Marie and Ara weren't quick enough because Heeju beat them to it, rushing over and throwing her arms around the couple at the same time, "group family hug!" she squeals, "but we need to have words, hotty!!" she follows up sternly.
"What? What have I done?" Jungkook asks, as Heeju jumps back. He keeps hold of his husband's hand, wanting to stay by his side.
"That was too much! I said 'make me cry', I did not say 'please make me ugly cry and obliterate my emotions'."
Jungkook isn't sure what to say but is thankful when Ash speaks, "Apparently, my girlfriend hadn't specified that she didn't want to go through a whole pack of tissues."
"It was beautiful." Ara says as the Mothers join the group.
"I had to ask Phoenix to redo my make-up!" Heeju protests.
"You would've complained if you hadn't cried so we couldn't win either way." Tae tells his sister while eyeing her outfit and wondering if she has a jacket.
"That's true." Ash says.
"Are you going to spend the day taking their side?" Heeju asks her boyfriend.
"I'll take the side of whoever I agree with... and I don't think you 'ugly' cried... you couldn't 'ugly' anything." Ash adds honestly.
Heeju darts forwards and kisses him, "Thank you, pumpkin."
Jungkook rolls his eyes, laughing internally at this version of his best friend and secretly deciding that Tae isn't nearly as dramatic as his sister is, who may also hold the crown for brattiness, too.
"It looks like my children have partners who know just how to handle them." Ara states with a smirk and a raising of her eyebrows.
Heeju goes to speak but her brother beats her to it, "My partner is my new husband."
"From nearly to new." Yejoon adds with a chuckle.
"And new, new on Monday." Tae says proudly which makes Jungkook's cheeks heat a little.
"What about in a year from now?" Heeju asks.
"Please don't start him thinking about that." Jungkook says, feeling like he won't know what his status and title is from month to month at this rate.
"I will give it some thought. As I said to Seok, with each year that passes it means more." Tae beams.
"Uncle... Koo!" Ki-joon shouts as he runs as fast as his little legs could carry him, closely followed by his parents and brother. who is safely held in Jara's arms.
Jungkook catches the little boy that trips and falls at him, lifting him up and supporting him with one arm so he can hold onto his new husband's hand. "You should be careful. You could hurt yourself."
"No... Uncle Koo catch me." the small boy states confidently.
"Congratulations! Sorry that we are late, I needed Phoenix to redo my make-up because of a certain couple!" Jara states.
"See? Wasn't just me." Heeju mutters.
"You got exactly what you asked for." Kyong says as a matter of fact.
