If there was one thing that Taehyung knew for certain, it was that rarely did anything go to plan where his relationship was concerned. They had more examples of failed plans than successful ones but he hoped his surprise would go as arranged.

It was a relief to finally be able to do what they'd wanted to do after the honeymoon and arrange surprises for each other but as yet, life had well and truly been the biggest obstacle. It had only taken him nearly three months to clear time enough to organise it.

'Can't it be arranged for when we are in South Africa?' was Jungkook's suggestion when Tae broke the news that he would be planning something. This wasn't something that the CEO wanted to do under the stars in South Africa... that second honeymoon setting screamed 'making love' to him and he felt every romantic cell in his body agreeing with that thought.

Tae also thought that it might be better to wait for their romantic second honeymoon, under the stars, before he confessed that it was Ash and Emery who helped him with the props for said surprise... it was at this point that Tae conceived that he was perhaps a little bit cowardly. He knew that his husband would come around eventually but Tae didn't like the frown that marred Jungkook's beautiful face or the raised eyebrows or the 'really?' that would probably leave his mouth. The CEO was needy and wanted to be in Jungkook's good books always but this wasn't always the case and it was mostly his own fault but some things might be worth the risk... it did mean he just had to choose his moment wisely... damage limitation so to speak.

Hobi had visited him at Purple Aura yesterday and told him he was a coward and he'd found it highly amusing. The EGO owner stopped by on his way to the diner. He was collecting Sukmin to take him to an art exhibition. Sukmin was keen to go, especially when he found out that it was an exhibition to raise awareness on endangered species. He loved all things animal related so when Phoenix offered to take him to the animal sanctuary she worked at, he jumped at the chance, too.

Tae was pleased that his friend's visit was brief once he'd started to mock him for withholding information from his husband. Tae had control of the situation... he hoped.

A pained groan sounded in the bathroom where the CEO was staring at himself in the mirror. He was practising his role of patient but he was yet to decide his ailment. He'd already surmised that he was a dreadful actor so he was pleased he'd never pursued an acting career.

Phoenix lent him a white foundation which he dabbed on his face to make him look pale and he wasn't convinced by the noises he'd practised but Jungkook would be home any minute and he was running out of time. This was eccentric by anyone's standards and perhaps he'd gone too far?

If he was going to do it, he would do it properly and he was convinced that the minute his husband started to undress him, he would forget who he was anyway so perhaps the whole art of practising his role was wasted?

The one thing he's decided against was to send an emergency text to tell Jungkook he was ill and needed assistance urgently. When he put the idea to Hobi, his friend had laughed very loudly and asked him if he had a death wish? That was point taken!

Taehyung wanted to do a good job and have the scenario acted out as best he could. What was the point in making a fantasy reality if it wasn't realistic?

An alarm sounded on his phone to remind him of the time, so he left the master bathroom and went into the bedroom to climb into bed and begin his part. Jungkook had been at the new Gravity premises and Tae had managed to get himself ready in that time. He just had to hope that Jungkook hadn't received any bad news on the renovations... the CEO needed a happy husband. It had also crossed his mind that something would come up and he would fall asleep waiting for Jungkook to get home... anything was possible where their plans were concerned.
