Neither Taehyung or Jungkook would make any alterations to the day at Neverland but as they walk hand in hand through their honeymoon house, they both felt contentment at making the journey together, instead of separately.
They were greeted by two women who presented them with leis, placing floral garlands over each of their heads. Sunlight caressed every surface, the sky as clear and bright as a blue topaz, the sea glistened like the highest quality aquamarine gemstone. The light breeze coated their skin as the couple walk the pathway, the sound of the waves becoming louder, the closer they get.
They pause on the step, the last point before grey mottled stone slabs meet fine white sand. Their hands disconnected while they slipped their feet out of the sliders that would not be needed, ready to get married with their toes buried in the sand.
"It's so beautiful." Jungkook says as he looks ahead at the pathway mapped out with rose petals.
"Nearly as beautiful as my view." The CEO replies.
Jungkook smiles fondly, laughing to himself because he should have known better than to expect anything else from his lover. "Ready?" he asks, holding his right hand out for his husband to take.
"I am." He says, taking Jungkook's hand.
The walkway to the shore is lined with men and women in native Tahitian dress, holding parasols adorned with strings of flowers swaying in the breeze. The instrumental notes of Euphoria float through the air, a song so personal to the husbands who decided it was the perfect song for this moment because only they knew what it meant to them.
Up ahead they could see the pastel rainbow voile wrapped around the frame of the gazebo nestled on the shore. The swathes of sheer fabric swayed in the gentle breeze. A lady in a green Ti leaf skirt had the biggest smile on her face, standing underneath the structure on the sand. Her long ebony hair was plaited, garlands around her neck obscured the tropical print bikini top.
The husbands could see the heart shaped from sand on the floor which marked the spot where they would stand. Two witnesses sat on chairs, close enough to be present but far enough to give the impression that they weren't there at all.
"Welcome, both of you. My name is Pranavi and I have the honour of hearing your declaration of love today."
Taehyung and Jungkook faced each other, hands entwined, fingers interlocked, toes dusted with grains of sand. The tassels hanging from their hanboks reacted to the light wind drifting in from the ocean. Pranavi's eyes shone as she read through the formalities that would lead to the final announcement after their vows.
"Taehyung and Jungkook are here to formally pledge their love, to be united in a partnership, and to offer each other the security that comes from promises sincerely made, and faithfully kept. They are choosing to make a commitment to each other for the rest of their lives..." she says before addressing the couple directly, "... I will now hand over to you, Taehyung."
The CEO feels like he's floating, his body fuzzy with love for the man whose hands he holds.
"I've practised these words so often because I didn't want to let go of you when I told you how I feel. When we are connected physically, my love for you transcends anything I've ever felt before. Touch has been an important part of our relationship, from the moment our lips touched that first time outside your apartment, to every time I had your hand in mine, to now. You've taught me that affection shouldn't adhere to a schedule, neither do I ever want it to again. Through the struggles that we've faced, the moments when we've both been caught up in our own pain, we have found a way to connect physically when our words said something else. I promise you that I will always reach out to you, regardless of the situation we are facing, my touch will always be felt. I will never stop trying to live up to be the man you deserve and I will forever be thankful that you love me as much as you do. We have our rings as physical proof of our love and your ring represents my heart and soul that I gave to you. Today I want to give you something else..."
