Silence was comfortable, laughter was freeing and blushing was expected. Jungkook was enjoying the buzz from the alcohol, he'd moved onto beer after finishing a glass of champagne a little too quickly in a bid to deal with the embarrassment from another one of his husband's lewd remarks.

"Ash and Smiler suggested some game time so I will arrange that. I was thinking that I'd like to visit the diner on Christmas day? Billy and Marie want to make it special for Sukmin. Jara is getting the KTX to Busan. Your parents are going with them and have booked them into a hotel that only Kyong knows about. Kyong said that your parents are coming back with the boys? Did you know?"

"Heeju told me today. Jara's parents are being taken to the hotel to spend time with them. They're concerned that Nuri might show up, hence the secrecy. Eomma wants Sukmin to have a special Christmas. They're going with Jara so that Marie can stay at the diner."

A wave of emotion flows through Jungkook and he feels the slight pressure behind his eyes. He'd never known people like the ones he was proud to now call his family. They'd extended their arms to his brother and have shown more love and given more support than Jara had ever had from people that weren't her own parents.

"Kyong is really grateful for the support. I don't think they expected Ara and Yejoon to be so helpful."

"Why? Because they are my parents?"

"Yeah. It's something we aren't used to."

"My parents have formed quite a strong relationship with Billy and Marie... we both have two sets of parents now."

Jungkook giggles, "That's true. The parents package."

"I used to be able to handle my eomma but now she's got Marie... it makes life very difficult."

"Watching you trying to deal with Ara is funny."

"She's partly your problem now, too."

"Don't I know it! I hope that Ash and Heeju need an intervention... he might think it's amusing but he won't when they are both sitting in front of them."

Tae reaches for his glass, "I hope they do, too... do you know any witches we could pay to cast a spell?"

Jungkook laughs a lot louder than he'd intended, "A witch?" He looks into the gorgeous face of his husband whose hair is swept from his forehead and the necklace with the special pearl hangs proudly around his neck. "You would pay a witch?"

"Absolutely I would! I know you won't like what I'm about to say but... I'd pay anything to get what I want."

The eye roll says it all and Jungkook shakes his head. He'd always known that about the man he loved, even from the moment they met. He thinks back to that day at St Georges park when Tae insinuated that Jungkook was there because he'd paid him for his time... he knew that's not what was intended and perhaps it's not what Tae actually meant but it was what he would have done willingly if Jungkook had allowed him to.

"No amount of money would have got me though."

It was Tae's turn to laugh, "Don't I know it!" He'd have given up the contents of his bank accounts to buy this man if he'd been for sale. "I had to learn that lesson quickly."

Jungkook chuckles and sits back against the rear of the padded seat, "Oh my god! You have NOT learnt that lesson! You are so funny, Tae."

The CEO frowns, "I have." it sounds bratty but that's how he feels so that's okay. "Firstly, I'm pleased you've acknowledged that I am funny but I'd like to know how I haven't learnt?"

Jungkook senses that he's offended his husband but can't help finding it even more amusing that Taehyung really, truly believes that he's learnt his lesson about buying everything for him. "Audi? Island? House? Actually... honeymoon?"
