Chapter 244 - Shameless!

"Join us." Emery chimes.

Taehyung was avoiding home because the brothers were having the first video call and he wanted them to have privacy. He'd decided to use the time to run some errands and one of the tasks was to stop at the diner and give Billy a breakdown of costs for the new diner branding. It was going to be a great contract for the company but Billy wouldn't accept any favours citing that the CEO had done enough for them. Billy stated 'no more favours' so Tae did as was requested... sort of.

On his way out of the diner, Emery and Ash were waiting for Muyeol and P.J and the casting director called Tae over.

"Yeah, come and have a drink." Ash said.

Tae walked over to the table, ordering a chai latte as Marsha passed him.

"Is this one of your sex group meetings?" The CEO asks.

"It's whatever you want it to be." Emery informs him.

"Where's Kookie Monster?"

"Video calling with Kyong and Han-Shik."

"How's that going?" Emery asks.

"Han is a dick." Ash adds without hesitation.

"This is their first video call. Ryan is in hospital and Nuri is playing the doting wife apparently. Han-Shik is using the call to update Kyong and Jungkook on the situation."

Ash mumbles, "or tell the story he wants them to buy?"

"Or that." Tae says, using his index finger to gesture towards Ash in agreement with him.

"Don't you want to be there to listen in? I'd want to be in that room!" Emery questions.

"Han-Shik irritates me. His arrogance presses my buttons. I deal with men like that every day and I don't have time for it. At least I can walk away from business! I'm aware that Han-Shik doesn't like me for whatever reason so me being there won't aid the situation...I would rather leave them to it. I don't trust Han-Shik but if he says anything that Jungkook doesn't like, Jungkook can end the call. If it were in person, I would be there."

"He irritates me, too but I don't have to see him. You have my sympathies, KTH"

"Why is he a dick? Kyong and JK aren't dicks?"

Ash laughs, "Well, I wouldn't go THAT far! Kookie Monster can definitely be a dick."

"Says you... the man who was going to let his girlfriend leave the country without telling her how he felt?" Emery says with raised eyebrows.

"Fuck off, Emery."

"That's a new one." Tae says, smiling at Marsha as she brings his drink over.

Emery is still giggling as he talks, "That's an Ash-ism for 'you're right, I can't disagree' he just changes the name to suit the occasion."

"How is it going, living with my sister?"

Ash's face breaks into the biggest smile, "she's amazing and she loves me."

"Don't expect anymore than that... that's all he says."

Tae sighs, "That's all Heeju says, too. We should take it as a positive sign and leave them to it."

"Have you seen Jin? Seokie was shocked when he started the fashion show like that!"

"And you guys make fun of me?" Ash remarks.

"I was surprised that Jin loves someone other than himself." Tae quips which makes Emery and Ash laugh.

"That's what Seokie said." Emery joins him in laughter
