The 'goodbye' had been much, much more difficult than either Taehyung or Jungkook had expected. After arriving home, they'd spent lots of time sleeping to readjust their body clocks, they'd ordered take away meals and had them delivered and spent a day and a bit in their underwear. It was just what they needed which was strange because they'd just returned from two weeks of togetherness but it was what it was.
Monday morning was a shock to the system when the cockerel sounded and it was grey and murky outside. Long gone were the days of bright sunshine streaming through the windows with the calming sound of the ocean nearby. Today was back to reality day.
Jungkook had hoped that Tae would change his mind but needless to say, that hadn't happened so he did as they'd agreed and the dancer dropped his husband off before heading to Safe Haven. They'd kissed for an extended period of time before Tae finally got out of the Gemera and Jungkook stared longingly out of the window until his husband disappeared into the building out of sight.
Driving felt strange, being without Taehyung felt stranger.
This week they were easing themselves back in and the CEO had chosen to take conference calls and virtual meetings at home, just for this week so that his time was divided between home and the office. Everyone was keen to see the happy couple and they would eventually get around to seeing them all but wouldn't be rushing into it for fear of overload and Jungkook was convinced that his husband's planned phase return to work would soon fly out of the window once he was back in the office!
Alan welcomed Jungkook back with open arms and laughed when he told him how the Gravity students asked when he would be back almost every day. Hobi had sent a teacher from EGO to cover Jungkook but they all preferred the former busker. Gravity wasn't especially busy being so new and they were working on admissions and pathways. At the moment, it was mainly young people from Safe Haven and Jungkook realised that maybe Tae was right and having premises away from Safe Haven would be beneficial and broaden the scope for those who wanted to attend but didn't necessarily need to be at Safe Haven? While talking to Alan he shared his thoughts and the conversation became quite productive so Jungkook made notes to discuss it when he met with Hobi at Purple Aura.
The morning flew by and Kyong was walking through the door to the studio before Jungkook knew what time it was and he was so pleased to see his brother.
"There's my little, very tanned, married brother!" Kyong beams.
Jungkook hugs him, "How are you?"
"I'm good... no need to ask how you are! You look the happiest I have ever seen you."
"Yeah well, that's probably because I am happy." Jungkook wasn't going to attempt to deny it.
"Are we going out for lunch?"
"If you like? There's a cafe across the street."
Kyong nods and follows Jungkook through the door and up the stairs. The cafe is quite literally across the road and ten minutes later they are seated with coffees and a tray of gimbap.
"Are the boys okay? How's Jara?"
"Everyone is good. I have a lot to fill you in on but I don't want you to think I don't want to hear about your honeymoon so you tell me about that first."
"No, no... nothing I have to say is that important. Lots of sand, water and relaxing really... quite boring."
"I'm sure that's a blatant lie."
"Go... tell me... fill me in." Jungkook says.
"I think your position as favourite Uncle might be in jeopardy... Ki-Joon loves Sukmin! When Marie has the boys, Sukmin is usually around and he keeps Ki-Joon busy. Jara loves him too. He's a sweet kid."
