"What are you going to do with it?" Emi asks as she takes in the view from the bedroom window. Her voice echoes in the empty space.

"I don't know? Do you prefer it to our apartment?" Han-Shik leant against the door frame, hands in the pockets of his Louis Vuitton puffa jacket.

"We're only just getting organised... I don't want to move so soon... do you?"

Emi was pleased when she'd woken up alone. After the legal meeting yesterday, she thought her husband might retreat into himself and shut her out but he hadn't. She left the two brothers to talk last night, making a quick call to Jara so she could enjoy Nuri's misfortune with someone... and she had no idea what time it was when Han-Shik fell into bed unceremoniously after too much Soju.

This morning, there was a note to say that he'd gone for a run so Emi used the time to tidy up and gather her own thoughts on yesterday's events. She was amazed at Ryan's attention to detail and the planning involved. Kyong and Han-Shik spent time trying to fathom when adjustments were made to his will... what changed and when? But Emi replayed information from the meeting in her head and she'd come to the conclusion that Ryan's plans didn't ever 'change'... they may have altered slightly but it wasn't a case of starting out with Nuri inheriting the lot. What pushed her to this conclusion was how blindsided Nuri was. She'd been accustomed to a lifestyle, never denied anything she wanted, handed the world in exchange for bringing three sons into Ryan's life... Nuri had no reason to suspect that her life wasn't exactly what it was... technically, it wasn't fake at all, it was everything she'd thought it was... apart from the small matter that it was Ryan's world that she was living in.

Ryan managed to live a double life without actually having two separate lives. He was a master with a game plan and he'd played the game well. According to Kyong, Mi-Youn's father had been the main man in Ryan's legal team for years but he didn't know anything about him outside of business. Ho-Joon and Mi-Youn's father, the two men who worked closely with Ryan, both of whom had known him before he met Nuri so Emi was sure that nothing about that will was a knee jerk reaction.

There were a lot of questions about the house and its contents and Han-Shik showed his annoyance that Jungkook flew home. It was going to take time for rifts to heal as Kyong did his best to explain things in an attempt to get Han-Shik to understand the person that Jungkook had grown into. There were reasons that Han-Shik wanted access to the house. He wanted to look through Ryan's office and get to grips with the businesses he now had control of. He was also keen to meet with Ho-Joon and ask questions about the man that had surprised them all and his frustration was with his younger brother who was holding him up now.

"I like that no-one knows about this place." Han-Shik admits.

Emi turns her body so she can see her husband, "Why don't you furnish it and keep it as a secret getaway? Or you could rent it out? Maybe Jara would stay with the boys if she knows that Nuri doesn't know about it?"

"You think I should keep it?"

"I think you should explore your options and give it some serious thought before doing anything. This is yours... no mortgage, no rent... you don't need to make rush decisions."

"Ours... it's ours."

"Ryan left it to you... he bought it for you."

"True but I'm married to you which makes it ours."

Emi suddenly feels a little bit nervous... she can barely keep eye contact with the man standing in the doorway. He looks serious yet sexy... a smouldering look... her lower body moves away from the window like it has a mind of its own as she gravitated towards him.

Han-Shik stands still, legs parted, like he's a bouncer at a club, blocking underage party goers from entering. Internally, he feels soft and floaty, Emi's perfume reaches his nostrils as she gets closer. He'd felt so lost, so isolated, so unloved and unwanted. Han-Shik had shut himself off to it all because it was easier that way and he found temporary connections with the people he picked up in the bars. The euphoria and heightened emotions that came from sexual pleasure, regardless of the number of orgasms ... were brief and he thought that was enough to get through life. He still thinks it would've been enough... he had the money to go to exclusive bars now and he could pick up people that were more like him... but he didn't want to. Emi gave him everything he needed and more. She gave him security and hope and there were feelings he hadn't known existed. Was he 'in love' with his wife? He didn't know?! He'd told Kyong that he thought he loved his wife but how would he know?
