The hot tub was ready, it was steaming and bubbling... as it should. Jungkook knew that Tae would not be a fan of walking along the deck in a bathrobe so he'd spoken to the crew and they'd erected the cover, which the dancer thought made it a much more intimate setting, as well as shielding them from the bitter December air.
Taehyung was blissfully happy... a stupid level of happy... weightless feelings of sheer joy.
"I haven't done anything." The CEO claims.
"The look on your face makes me suspicious." Jungkook admits.
"Suspicious? Of me?" Tae reaches for the 'wrong' robe instead of his own, which earns him a deep sigh and eye roll from his husband.
"Yeah! You're making me nervous."
"What have I ever done to make you feel like that?"
Jungkook laughs... he loves this man... "Bought Gravity, bought a whole island, hired out a theme park for our wedding?"
Tae protests while fastening the belt of the robe, "They were all good things, Jungkook."
"I didn't say that it was bad? I just said that you're face is making me suspicious and nervous."
"I would recommend a course in 'how to compliment your husband' because that isn't the way to do it."
"Are you telling me that you aren't going to spring anything on me in the hot tub?"
Tae laughs, "I can't promise that... you make a part of me spring up."
Jungkook slips his feet into the black Nike sliders, laughing as he shuffles, "If you were anyone else, I'd think you were deflecting."
"Thinking about being married to someone else?" Tae's lips protrude slightly... (not in a pout, of course).
The dancer semi rolls his eyes and with his left hand, reaches for the door, "You can break the news to me in the hot tub... let me drink some champagne first." He was happy with beer but a hot tub required champagne on new year's eve, apparently.
"What news? You are the one imagining being with someone else."
"That's not what I meant and you know it."
"You don't want to be married to anyone else?" Tae trudges along behind Jungkook, making their way through the yacht.
His husband made him laugh... not necessarily always in a humorous way but in a minimally amusing, tempted to ignore... kind of way.
"Silence could be taken as agreement, Kookie."
It was apparent that his husband was in the mood to seek attention which wasn't a huge shock. Taehyung was often clingy and more needy after some highly intimate, quality time together. It was cute... very endearing... but questionable when he hadn't responded to Jungkook's earlier question. "I could say the same to you."
"I haven't been silent."
Jungkook thought back to something that Billy said on Christmas day when the dancer was complaining at his husband's political way of answering questions that he'd rather not be asked. The diner owner laughed and asked if that was as bad as it got between them? To which Jungkook replied "Yeah", because that was as bad as it got.
Tae was an honest man and sometimes that meant he honestly wanted to avoid a topic of conversation, usually if it was related to emotions or money or both. There were other times when his honesty led to the complete opposite of a politician's answer and Jungkook got the response plus a whole load of extra information.
There were also times when the CEO was being awkward, trying to manipulate a situation to get a reaction to suit whatever agenda he had.
Jungkook simply had to work out which one it was... which wasn't easy when he was usually two steps behind!
