The Artifact: II

Richard squeezed as much blood from the heart as he could and The Snake Woman faded into the same dark cloud the clowns did earlier that night. He ran back to Nikita's body and I sadly chuckled to himself.

"Even in death, you didn't break a nail." he said before grabbing her headband from her wig. He walked to the lounge holding the heart and headband with Caliiope and Mortimer, who held Nikita's jacket and the head.

The Lounge

Ro started to tear up, "Are you okay?" Joey asked as MatPat comforted his friend. "I know. I'm feel- just really guilty. I just picked someone who I hadn't worked the most with. I didn't know what else to do." she tearfully admitted.

Manny: So Rosanna starts crying and I start to get the inkling that she's the one who voted for Nikita. And I'm starting to get a little bit pissed.

"So if they didn't come back, if they died, you'd feel like it was your fault?" Roi asked as Ro nodded her head.

Joey: If Nikita comes out of this alive, Ro is in some serious trouble with Nikita.

Calliope and Mortimer come in holding Nikita's coat and the head. Everyone was confused until Richard came back, head down, holding the heart and Nikita's headband.

Manny: I saw Calliope walk in with Nikita's jacket, and my heart sank. Then Richard walked in, and it sank further.

No one cheered, not because they were angry Richard came back, but because they knew Ro and Richard felt bad for Nikita's death. Richard took off the white hazmat suit he was in, wiped his hands free of blood, and went straight for Manny.

The younger man wrapped his arms around Manny, before handing him her handband. "This is for you now." Richard said before looking at Ro's tearful eyes. He hugged her too as she cried out.

"I know, I know. I feel it's my fault too." he said, patting his hand on her shoulder. He pulled away, "But we can avenge her by escaping." he added with a solemn smile.

He turned back to Manny and started hugging him again. "It's okay. It'll be okay." Richard said as Manny started to cry. He pulled away and chuckled, "It still looks beautiful, even while ruined." Manny wiped the tears as Richard grabbed the head and put it in a cubby.

Calliope grabbed one of Nikita's cards and put it in the same box as Teala's card, the rest going in the trash like before. Richard walked over to the couch and sat between Manny and Ro, able to comfort both in Nikita's death.

MatPat: There's only a few hours and there's a whole lot of artifacts to find, and if we don't cleanse them all by sunrise, then we're all done for.

Roi grabbed the note and sun, "Me and Richard found this, and we haven't been able to figure it out. It says, 'Place me on the horizon." Everyone rose from the couch when JC pointed at a picture, "There's a picture of a horizon right over there."

Roi ran over to the picture and placed the sun. A secret compartment slowly opened catching him off guard. A box and a note were there, he picked up the note and read.

Inside lies the Harp of Lazarus. However, the box can only be opened by finding two brass coins that are hidden throughout Everlock and require an additional task to obtain.

Joey: I've no idea what is in this box, but if it's going to help us, we need to figure out how to open it.

MatPat took count of who was left, "At this rate, the girls are dropping like flies." Manny gasped and raised his hand, "Can I be a girl." he asked like a child causing Richard to laugh and pat his back. "If you want to, then go for it. I'm not stopping you."

Safiya was still by the box, "So you guys see these slots where the coins go? That's the same design that was on Joey's bag at the very beginning."

Safiya: The night is young, yet- but anything can happen.
