The Noose

"The second stone rests on the end of a hangman noose. However, you'll need to wear his executioner's hood to see it. His raiments are high above, where you challenged the Serpent's Tower." Mat read the note. Ro perked her head up, "Fat Man Slim's!" she exclaimed before running off.

Rosanna: Although I'm super, duper scared, all I can channel that into is wanting to survive and escape to avenge Richie.

Mat and Joey ran after Ro, catching up to see her stabbing the pole she grabbed into a zombie's head. The group runs to Fat Man Slim's, and the zombies chase after them, more aggressively than before. Ro turns to see the zombies chasing after her friends, she breaths in before taking off one of her shoes. "It's time to ruin the platform oxfords."

Ro runs at the zombies and starts beating some of their heads in. She kept killing them, but there were too many and she got captured and taken to the mausoleum. Mat and Joey run inside Fat Man Slim's, Mat turns around to see, "Where's Ro?" They looked out the window to see Ro being pulled away, screaming.

Joey: Ro somehow gets caught by the zombies and is taken back to the graveyard, and we only have five minutes to rescue her. If we don't rescue Ro, she'll die.

The zombies carried Ro into the mausoleum before shutting the door and leaving to find the other two.

Rosanna: They're gonna save me, Mat wouldn't allow me to die. Right?

Mat opened the door to Fat Man Slim's before running off to the graveyard. Joey followed behind him when Mat turned to the drugstore and opened the door, letting him and Joey inside.

Joey: Rescuing Ro is a mission.

"Joey, we need to use the back door, go through the Witch's Lair, and across that bridge." Mat planned again, pointing to where he was talking about. Joey walked to the back door, opening it slightly to see zombies on either side. "We have to go out the front." he told Mat. In the mausoleum, Ro sat against the wall, calling out to her friends, slowly falling into despair, wondering if they would save her.

"If you're not saving me for me, then save me for Blueberry!" she yelled out with tears in her eyes. Joey and Mat ran out the front of the drugstore, through the field around the church, and made it to the graveyard. Mat went to the right while Joey went to the left, "Someone, please!" Ro called out, pounding against the door. She felt that her time was running out, "If anyone can hear me, please help me!" She cried out as Mat and Joey touched each side, sending her falling out the door.

Rosanna: They rescue me, like I hoped they would.

The happiness of Ro was short-lived because zombies approached again and they ran back to Fat Man Slim's. This time no one got captured and they made it inside. Ro ran to a chair and locked the door from the zombies. Mat reread the note to remind the group of what they were there for.

MatPat: So at Fat Man Slim's, we're gonna need some sort of hangman's hood and hangman's noose to unlock the second Life Stone.

Rosanna: I notice there's rope on the ground, I start to follow it upstairs to where Safiya asked for the password for the Snake's Tower. It circles around this box with a note, the hood, and the actual noose part of the noose.

"The hangman's hood reeks of death, and makes one appear undead. The noose must be tied in the correct place to enact the hangman's power. The path of the noose can be seen from a higher point of view." Ro turns to see the balcony, and she runs out onto it, seeing a diagram.

Rosanna (cont.): And the room's balcony has this diagram which shows that the rope needs to be tied in a triangle. And me and Joey think we have a good idea for how to get the next crystal.

"So we found the noose, it's upstairs." Ro and Joey tell Mat, who's holding the door closed from the zombies. "And we can use this to sneak past the undead?" he asked, making sure he heard all the information correctly. Joey cocked his head to the side, "It says if it reeks of death, then you can blend in with the undead." Mat restated what the note said.

Joey: So we find out that the hood actually protects you from the dead, and it makes you one of them.

MatPat: Joey volunteers to take on the hangman's noose so he can walk out amongst the zombies.

"Let me- Let me tie this for you, actually. Because I did lighting design for years." Mat said, wrapping the rope around his arm. "Come on, Boy Scout!" Joey cheered him on as he continued wrapping and wrapping. "Oh, my God, there is a lot of rope." he said, Joey helped him with the amount of rope.

Joey: Mat has some witchcraft going on, 'cause how the hell did he wrap up that rope so damn quick?

"Now put that over your arm." Mat heaved the rope onto Joey's arm as the latter noticed a zombie approaching the door. Joey closed the door and Mat helped him put on the hood. "Okay, can you see anything?" Mat asked, "No." Once the hood was on, Mat opened the door and Joey walked out onto the porch.

Joey: So I head outside with the rope and the hood on, and I can't see anything.

Joey carefully stepped down the steps of Fat Man Slim's. Ro looked out from the balcony of the bar as inside, Mat looked around. "I wish there was a way to barricade."

MatPat: Fat Man Slim's doesn't have the most robust of security systems, so I had propped a chair underneath the door handle, so that way, the zombies couldn't break their way into the building.

"You're gonna start at the merry-go-round!" Ro yelled out to Joey who was now outside. She gave him directions to the carousel, "Wrap it around somehow, and secure it." Joey yelled out how scared he was and that he could sense the zombies around him when Ro told him to, "Wrap it around the hoof of the horse!"

Joey: Somehow, I attach it to the merry-go-round, and I am just happy I have accomplished something.

"Keep going straight!" Ro instructed Joey, "There's a lot of them, but don't freak out!" she added as Mat ran up to join her. Joey reach his arm out to find the pole her needed to tie the rope to. The two instructed him until he started to wrap the rope. Ro took advantage of Joey taking time to wrap it around to ask Mat something.

"Did you barricade the door?" Mat looked at her and nodded, "Kay, when Joey is finished with tying the rope in the shape, go back down and remove it when Joey gets there." They continued to guide Joey through making the triangle and Jioey continued to whine about the zombies near him.

Rosanna: I thought at any moment, they were gonna take a bite out of Joey

"There you go, slide that end through the like, remainder of the noose!" Mat instructed Joey.

Joey: Finally, the triangle is made.

"I have to stand in the center, don't I?" Joey asked. "Yes!" Ro yelled out before turning to Mat and twitching her head to the door of the room. Mat understood and ran back downstairs and swapped himself and the chair. Ro instructed Joey on where the center was and he managed to stand there.

Rosanna: So Joey stands in the center of the triangle, raises his hands, and a chest opens behind him.

Another set of ghostly blue hands appeared next to the chest and slowly opened it up. Their long acrylic nails scrapped the sides of the lid before disappearing. "Where did the chest open?" Joey asked Ro who told him to, "Turn around and go straight, keep going straight!" Joey was concerned over where the rope was and Ro just told him "You're doing great! Just keep going straight!"

Joey: So I make it to the chest, and I realize that in my hand is the second Life Stone.

Joey pulled the second Life Stone and a note out, and a purple flame flicked out of the crystal and flew into the church. Joey took the bag off his head and turned to Ro on the balcony, "Okay, what should we do?" He looked around and remembered that once the bag is off, you are seen as alive to the zombies again.

"Run to the drugstore!" Ro yelled out and Joey followed suit to her directions. Joey went out the backdoor to the drugstore once the coast was clear. He ran over to Fat Man Slim's and Mat opened the door for him before they both closed it again. Ro ran downstairs as Joey began to read the note.
