"So this letter that we got says, 'The blood gem can only be recovered by learning the name of the man without one. Two must be selected to vote to enter his toxic lair and steal it from him." Joey read from the note.
MatPat: So we end up going back to the Divine Lounge. We see the obsidian stones that the other team got. The big blood gem in the middle is the only thing that's missing. That's the prize of our next challenge.
"All right, tell us how it was for you guys out there." Joey asked the losing 4. "We're gonna have to vote, this isn't gonna be easy."
Joey: I wanna hear my friends plead thier cases. I wanna know what they feel they've done, because I want the strongest competitors moving forward.
MatPat went first for the pleading, "I think my record speaks for itself throughout this game. I've been committed to saving Everlock, I've been committed to ending The Carnival Master, I've been there, front of the line, solving puzzles."
Richard went next, "I feel like for this challenge, I pulled my weight. For each of the clues, I knew what it was, and I unlocked the box holding this." he pulled out the first Lazarus coin from his pocket.
JC went afterward, "I know I didn't pull my weight a bunch during this challenge, but I did find the second finger if that means anything." Ro was the last, "I care about everybody. I do have a few limitations. I'm a little smaller, so when we're all together, and we're all crowding around, I genuinely can't see."
Manny: Ro, she doesn't feel like she contributed in any way to her team.
Joey: I just want her to defend herself, show that she's still passionate about surviving, otherwise she's gonna go in.
Richard: Just from that, I can already tell Ro is going in.
"Even though I feel like you have everything stacked against you, what's most hurting is, you're defeated, and we need fighters." Manny said, Richard was almost tearing up knowing Ro would go in, when MatPat did something that cheered him up.
"If we're looking at physical prowess, I can do the splits." he said, getting a small smile out of Richard. Joey asked him to prove that he could, so MatPat slowly but surely did the splits without tearing anything.
"You've earned my vote- I mean, not my vote." Joey said as MatPat got up and back to the couch. "It is now time to vote. Only people from the losing team will be displayed." Calliope said, telling MatPat to go first.
MatPat: If I was scared before, I'm even more scared now. There's only four possible people to pick. And even though I've done a lot to help these teams, who knows?
MatPat sat back down as Richard let JC go next, keen on being the last member of his team to vote.
JC: Honestly, I am accepting the fact that I have a very strong chance of being eliminated now.
Ro: I'm getting the sense that people want to send me into the challenge, but I do not want to go into this challenge.
Richard: I wanted to go last in my team as I didn't want them to be able to see what I've done.
Richard went up to Calliope and pointed at his own card, looking down as he walked past.
Safiya: JC seems to be the best option to vote for as the other two men are smart and Ro and Richard are team players.
Manny: I feel like, for the group, for us to escape the entire night, we need Ro back.
Roi voted for Ro and Joey voted for JC. When everything was done, Calliope began to shuffle the cards. "The first one into the challenge is..." Calliope began, pulling a card and flipping it as always.
The Hippie
JC nodded his head, he knew he was going in, he just hoped the woman next to him wouldn't. "The second one..." Calliope said, performing the action she had done four times before.
The Jetsetter
MatPat and Richard both put thier head in thier hands, Richard pushing his glasses up his head.
JC: Now, I know what I have to do.
