The Search For Joey

The intro begins to play. The moon shines over a bird's eye view of the town. Teala and Nikita are shown tied to the merry-go-round as High Tower and Sally Slaughter are about to slam their weapons into them. JC is tied to a wonder wheel as the lead clown throws a knife narrowly missing him. MatPat is shown running from the funhouse before showing Roi narrowly missing being chomped by the jaws. Safiya and Manny are shown chained and trying to run from The Carnival Master, who holds their chains as the Demon Dog is by his side. Richard is shown in front of the graveyard holding a sharpened stick, Ro is then quickly shown running from something unseen before panning to Joey, standing in the middle of the town handing the camera a ticket.

Escape The Night

Joey told the group he was going to the bathroom and walked out. He jogged across the town hearing some voice pull him to somewhere. "I can give you anything." the voice said in Joey's mind, as Joey looked behind him seeing no one.

"I can make you strong." the voice continued as Joey ran into an area with an arch that read 'Carnival.' He felt the voice was making an offer, but everything it said felt like it was taken from times before.

"Do you want the world to know your name?" the voice added when Joey reached a bridge under a devil's mouth. He saw the church standing across him, with glowing windows and blue smoke pouring out.

"All you have to do is take my hand." the voice ceased as the smoke Joey was seeing in his mind formed a hand beckoning for Joey. Joey walked forward to the edge of the bridge before looking back, "Should I..." Joey thought.

Rosanna: Joey said he was going to the bathroom, so we're waiting for him, but it's been a long time.

Manny: Collectively, I can just feel the energy of the group is just down. We're like, "Okay, what do we even do next?"

Everyone was with someone in Richard's eye, Ro was with MatPat, Roi with Manny, so he didn't notice Safiya was behind him. "What do you think's in there?" she asked while Richard let out a small yelp as his shoulders quickly rose and lowered when he realized it was Safiya.

Richard was sitting on the couch, his head on his arms on top of the Lazarus Box. He was the only one near as he was the only one who had a coin. He leaned back from the box so he was now fully on the couch or himself.

"I know it isn't where the word originates, but when I think Lazarus, I think of the Lazarus pits from DC comics. And those can revive someone if you throw their body in them, so something that revives people." Richard said his thought process shrugging at the last part.

Richard: I know if we can open it, something good might happen. Do I know what will happen? Absolutely not!

"Hey guys, I need to talk with you." MatPat announced near a pinball machine. Everyone went to Mat, surrounding the machine. MatPat started talking, "We're running out of time, and the box is the only thing we know that might help us out. We need to open it and the only clue we have are the coins, the shape. And it's the same shape that was on Joey's book bag before we got to this place."

Manny joined in on the theorizing, "It's been really weird. All those 'bathroom breaks.' Where are you going, bitch?" MatPat slightly interrupting him continued, "And also every single time we ask him about this, he's super sketchy. He'll be like, "Oh, it's this society that found out about this..." Richard started tuning out the conversation, focusing more on the fact that Joey was missing.

Safiya: I do think that Joey knows more than he's telling us, but I'm not sure that he's evil.

Richard left the pinball machine as everyone continued, "Hey, Richard, where you going?" Roi asked, "Going out to find the man who seems to know more than us." the bedazzled man said before walking out, everyone walking behind him.

Rosanna: Some people are feeling suspicious of Joey. Me and Richard are feeling concerned. Did something happen to him? Did he get, like, kidnapped? Like, what's going on?

Manny: We're like no bitch left behind and we start searching for his ass.

Everyone looks around in places they knew when Richard saw something in an area labeled 'Carnival.' He ran in before seeing Joey standing still in front of the bridge. No one realized he went that way until they heard him yell Joey's name.

They ran over to see the same sight with Richard yelling out stuff to Joey, "Joey! Mr. Graceffa! Joseph Graceffa! Joey McJoey-son! Josephi Krakowski!" he was yelling yet nothing worked. The others joined in, yet still no response from Joey.

Manny: So we find Joey and he's at this creepy-ass weird bridge, in front of this creepy-ass freakin' cemetery and I'm like, "You're trying it, bitch. Like, you're actually trying it right now." I had the right mind to beat his ass right there.

Richard: Joey's acting weird. He's not responding to his name, nicknames, yells, whatever we throw at him.

Ro walked up to the man, "Joey?" she calmly asked like he was a little animal. He turned around to see everyone behind him. He snapped out of his trance, the smoke getting closer to him dissipated into his subconscious.

"Joey, what are you doing? You scared me." Ro calmly asked him before he pointed behind him. "That's where the darkness is coming from. That's where The Carnival Master is." Manny walked toward the man, "How do you know that there's evil coming from over there?" he stated. "I've been here before." Joey responded everyone else trying to figure out what he meant, not noticing Richard walking towards the end of the bridge.

Safiya: Joey says that the symbols on the Lazarus Box stands for the Society Against Evil, who he says he's worked for before.

"I've helped them in the past, and they asked for my help again. Which is why we're all here" Joey says as Richard inched closer and closer to the demonic figure head. Everyone began arguing with Joey until Ro noticed Richard.

Joey: I know I sound crazy right now, but I have. Like, I can't obviously tell them that I saw this church when I died.

"Richie, buddy, you okay?" Ro asked as the youngest one shivered at the locale he was in front of. He slowly started to back away, saying, "That's evil, pure evil, I don't f*ck with that!" He ran off to the lounge as he felt safe there, away from whatever he felt with the church.

Everyone sped after him, Joey looking back at the church. Until his dying breath, he could swear he heard laughter emanating from it, coming from the same voice he heard when he ventured out to the church.
