The intro begins to play. The moon shines over a bird's eye view of the town. Teala and Nikita are shown tied to the merry-go-round as High Tower and Sally Slaughter are about to slam their weapons into them. JC is tied to a wonder wheel as the lead clown throws a knife narrowly missing him. MatPat is shown running from the funhouse before showing Roi narrowly missing being chomped by the jaws. Safiya and Manny are shown chained and trying to run from The Carnival Master, who holds their chains as the Demon Dog is by his side. Richard is shown in front of the graveyard holding a sharpened stick, Ro is then quickly shown running from something unseen before panning to Joey, standing in the middle of the town handing the camera a ticket.
Escape The Night
Everyone sits inside Fat Man Slim's, Roi sits with Mortimer, Richard and Ro sit together, and Safiya sits with Joey and Manny. Richard is the only person who doesn't have an alcoholic drink, instead having a Topps Cola bottle. He stares off into the abyss when he isn't taking a sip, "You okay, Richie?" Ro asks getting the youngest's attention. He sighs before responding, "Honestly, no. I'm not okay, but I have to be strong to avenge them." "We need that other coin. And I'm gonna make it my mission to find that." Joey says to the people at his table.
Joey: If I have to prove myself, I will.
Calliope walks over to Joey's table with the map getting the three Rs to walk over. "Something has changed on the map." she states as she places the map down, "Yep. Like usual." Richard snarkily says. Mat's death made Richard more snarky and snappy so he could cope. "There will be blood on all of your hands. The price of being a hero in this town of horrors." Safiya read from the map, "What else is new?" Roi asks, scanning the map.
"The Dollmaker's Shoppe!" Joey pointed out, almost everyone there turning away while saying no. "Creepy dolls are the w- like, creepy!" Ro exclaims, getting a chuckle out of Richard. Joey read another message from the map, "The Doll Maker's children have changed. They want to spin in circles, but keep fighting over which horse to ride. Maybe you can help?" he finished skipping over part of the message.
"That has to be the merry-go-round, right? It goes round and round in circles and has horses on it." Richard pointed out getting nods from the rest of the group. Calliope walked over to get Mortimer out of his seat, "Come on, pretty boy." Richard joked taking similar words right out of Calliope's mouth.
Richard: We walk over to the merry-go-round, carousel, whatever you wanna call it. We see a box and a big button. There's nothing else around, so I just press the damn thing.
"Consequences be damned!" Richard yells before slamming his hand on the button making the ride start. It slowly speeds up as the horses move up and down repetitively.
Safiya: Richard pushes the red button, and the merry-go-round starts spinning.
The box suddenly opened and Richard pressed the button again making the ride slow to a stop. He pulled out the disgusting, stitched-together head of, what he assumed was, the artifact. Safiya pulled out the note the head was resting on top of and read it to the group.
"The Night Killer's doll is split in two: the body and the head. To begin cleansing the doll, you must find the body and reconnect the head. But be careful! The Doll Maker's children were corrupted by the artifact." she read, skipping the part at the end that said what they expected, touching the artifact would summon them.
