Richard: We walk outside and there's a green mist or smoke draped over everything. And, on tables outside of the arcade, there are hands with severed fingers.
Safiya started reading the rules from a note. "Each clue will lead their respective group to a severed finger."
MatPat: Yay! I love finding severed body parts!
Joey: It's disgusting, gross. Eww, we have to find fingers? Why?
"After each finger is found, the group must return to their hand and put it back to the bone to receive the next clue." Safiya continued the instructions.
Richard: So we have to find fingers, put them back on the hand, and get the stones... wherever they are.
"There's an additional puzzle by the pump station that holds one of the Lazarus coins needed to open the Lazarus box. It does not need to be completed to win, but if a hunting party manages to open it, they'll not only get the coin but be moved ahead to the final clue even if they've not solved the others." Safiya finished. "So we're looking for fingers. We'll get a clue at a time. Leading us to it." Joey asks Safiya, her confirming in between each sentence.
Joey: Basically, whoever doesn't get the stones first, their names are up for elimination.
"I think we should get started." Mortimer announced pointing Manny's team to one table and Richard's to another. Each team got their first clue and read it to their team members.
Team 1's Clue: Eight sides to feel the air, a romantic place to stop and stair.
Team 2's Clue: Stand between the sun and moon, and view the tree that died too soon.
Team 1
"Eight sides... stairs... Gazebo!" Richard finished reading and raced off to the gazebo. Everyone ran after him, either because they were teammates or to find their next clue when The Man With No Name appeared and caused them to run into red lights.
Joey: I'm in pure shock.
MatPat: Around the corner, comes The Man With No Name, towering over us.
Rosanna: And he has really long arms.
"Okay, Ro and JC, go to the pump station, Me and Mat will go to the gazebo." Richard said before running off with MatPat.
Rosanna: My team strategy is to split up. JC and I go to the gas station. Mat and Richard go to solve some clues.
"It spelled stare like stair, so under the stair?" Richard asked MatPat as they approached. He nodded his head as they both went to different stairs. MatPat lifted a stair, "Oh, wait...Nope." he said, checking for fingers.
Team 2
Manny: My team strategy is actually to stick together, so we figured, let's go ahead and do these puzzles together.
"I can't see anything!" Joey yelled into the night before repeating their clue. They continued to run when, "Oh, sun. A sun, a sun, a sun." Manny said, pointing at what he found. They looked for the moon when The Man With No Name crashed the party. Ro and JC went to the pump station and found a box locked with a code. The Man With No Name however was chasing Team 2 nearby.
Rosanna: I'm not sure the strategy is working. I feel like Mat is a natural leader. JC and I decide to go meet up with them and help out any way we can.
JC and Ro run over to a red light to avoid The Man With No Name, who slaps Mortimer in anger. Manny and Co. are still running around looking for their moon when they see a tree stump.
