Escape the Night: Season 3 (My Way + Self-Insert OC)

The Escape

MatPat: We walk through this town, and we get to take a moment to reflect on all the sacrifices that got us here.

The survivors dropped the shovels, each grave had the epitaph the dead were okay with. They had managed to find the headstones with the bodies. Mat picked up a bag filled with Richard's stuff and held in his other hand the envelope for his wife. The trio gave their friends a minute of silence before beginning to walk through the town.

Rosanna: Tonight, I found the strength, this will to fight, and I think that's something, even in a twisted way, that has been a gift from this town.

The group walk through the streets, avoiding the few remaining bodies of zombies that start poofing into dust. "I'm gonna miss all of them." Ro broke the silence, "I'm gonna miss Safiya." Mat said. They both turned to each other and said, "I'm gonna miss Richard/Richie." at the same time.

MatPat: I have one last person I need to save. Blanche.

The trio walk to a carnival booth and grab the items they need. Blanche for Mat, Blueberry and Braig for Ro, and 7 envelopes with a handwritten message from Joey, a tarot card, and 1 or 2 items from the person. They left the booth and saw the entrance arch come into view again. They entered as 10, they left as 3, "I never knew I had such good friends." Joey said as they continued to walk away.

Joey: What I want more than anything at this point is a way to make all the wrongs I did right.

"At least now you're alive." Ro said as they were right at the entrance. Joey stopped and looked up, still hearing the crystal's calling. "Guys, there's one more thing I need to do. I'll meet you on the other side, okay?" The soul siblings nodded, "See you soon." Mat added before he and Ro continued their journey.

MatPat: Ro and I are like, well, you have your own business, so good luck, but don't take too long. Like, we're getting out of here.

Joey: There’s definitely something more I have to do, and I need to figure out what it is.

Joey grabbed the crystal and pulled it out from The Carnival Master's chest. As he did, he remembered some of Jael's words from when he signed the contract. "The Carnival Master has a crystal that can bring those you've lost in the past back to life." He looked into the crystal and saw every death flash before his eyes. Shane, Andrea, Justine, GloZell, Sierra, Matt, Tim, Lele, Lauren, Jesse, DeStorm, Liza, Tana, Gabbie, Alex, Teala, Nikita, JC, Roi, Safiya, Manny, and Richard.

They flashed through, faster and faster, until a face appeared. "Joey, Joey, are you there?" Liza asked before fading and being replaced with Shane. "This is your chance to make things right. We need you. Come save us." Shane disappeared from the crystal and Joey looked up before leaving the church.
