The Exorcism

Rosanna's POV

Mat and I walk to where everyone left their modes of transport. Joey’s car had been added, so we'll leave him with giving each one back. Right behind ours is Richie's, a blue Concord 4 door sedan, as he told us. We know one of us has to drive it to his house, so I elect myself because I have his letter which holds the address.

We prepare to leave when we hear a demonic screech coming from the town entrance. We run over to see Joey, with black cracks on his face and blacked out eyes, kneeling with purple smoke leaving his mouth. We also see Jael and Ryu using magic to exorcism him? "No! You will not free him!" a deep, British voice leaves his mouth, "He is my puppet! Mine to kill with! Mine to collect his friends souls! MINE!"

The purple smoke shoots out of Joey's mouth and into the ground. We run over to him as the cracks leave and his eyes return to normal. I hold his head on my legs and I see tears run down his cheeks, he looks up at me and barely whispers, "I'm sorry."

Later

Mat and I reach Richard's house, me in Richard's car and Mat in his car. I place the bag and the envelope into the box before driving into the driveway and parking the car. I leave it before going to Mat, still at the mailbox, and entering his car. "Where to?" he asks as if he's a taxi driver, "Your house." I answer, I left my car there, I'd need it to get back to my house. And I want to see Steph again, thankfully I'm alive and here to be Auntie Ro to her little baby when they come.

We head off to check on Joey, where we find him placing Safiya's bike in the back seat of his car. He gives a small thumbs up to say, "It's all good. I got it from here." We head off to Mat's home, never forgetting what happened last night. I guess Richie was right, no one will truly escape the night.
