Escape the Night: Season 3 (My Way + Self-Insert OC)

The Stump

The intro begins to play. The moon shines over a bird's eye view of the town. It shows Teala's body hanging from the wonder wheel before zooming out to show Richard on the floor, dead. Next, it shows Nikita on the ground next to a giant snake-shaped thing filled with guts before cutting to JC's body surrounded by fog with his face gone, showing a skull. Afterward, a few of Roi's sleeve tassels are shown popping out of the Maiden of Madness. Then it cuts to Safiya sitting in the corner of the funhouse, blood pooling out of her gut. Manny lays on a sacrificial table, knifes poking out of his face, chest, and crotch. Finally, it shows an unharmed Ro on the left side of Joey, who is bleeding from the chest. Mat is on his right, with clear marks on his neck. Grey arms reach out for them, while blue arms hold hands to protect them

Escape The Night

Joey, Mat, and Ro run down the streets of Everlock, avoiding the zombies that start to surround them. They make it to the arcade and run inside, "Board the doors! Board the doors!" Ro exclaimed as they ran inside. Joey grabbed a plank of wood and, with Mat's help, placed it across the door. The zombies tried to break in through the door and the windows.

Rosanna: We locked the doors, and it's just us, and zombies everywhere. We're outnumbered and there's no Calliope, Mortimer, or any kind of help.

The trio walked into the lounge, "Did that just happen? He just literally brought the dead back to life." Joey rhetorically asked. Ro grabbed the map from the floor where it landed after they unveiled the collar. "Map, we always got to start with the map, right?" Mat said as to put it on the table. The only thing new was a tree stump, so they turned it around to see if there was a note like the one that started this whole killing spree.

MatPat: There's this whole big scene on the back of it that actually features the blonde woman and the Asian man that I saw while I was dead.

Mat read through the note on the back of the map, "We were slaughtered by The Carnival Master because we didn't know his secret. He stole the Life Stones and placed his essence inside them. While they exist, he cannot be killed. You must find them, and with the power of the cleansed artifacts, destroy him."

Joey: There's three Life Stones that we need to find, and that's the only way we're gonna be able to destroy The Carnival Master.

"The first Life Stone lies at the heart of a tree long passed." Mat read the instructions for the first stone. "The stump!" Ro exclaimed in happiness before turning back to the map.

MatPat: The only problem is, between us and there, are just a horde of zombies.

Mat continued to read, "Be careful of his undead minions. If you're captured, you'll be taken to the cemetery where you must be rescued by two of your friends who need to lay their hands on the mausoleum. If you have not been freed in five minutes, the undead will feast on your flesh." Joey turned to Mat and Ro, "If one of us gets captured, no matter what, we have to get the other one back."

"I agree. We've lost to many people tonight." Ro said, her hand outstretched in the air, Mat put his on top of hers, and Joey placed his on top of Mat's. They walked out of the lounge, Ro opened her coat to see a little, orange monkey. "Braig." she quietly said, petting his head with one finger before being told by Joey, "Come on, Ro!" They reached a window of the arcade, "Maybe we can sneak through that side alley right there." Mat planned out a route for the trio.

MatPat: So at this point, we have a pretty good idea of the layout of the town. We have been running up and down this thing for the entirety of the night.

The trio ran back down the streets of everlock to find the stump, running into zombies at every turn. There was not one nook or cranny they could find where a zombie wasn't near.

Rosanna: Zombies are filling the streets. We're having to run away, but I found a pole.

"It's right here!" Joey called out to the two, skidding to a halt. "Wait, oh, we found it?" Mat asked as Ro held a pole she found on the ground.

Joey: Oh, so we find the stump, and Ro pulls out the wand, and it's glowing.

Rosanna: We put the wand down, and the first crystal lowers down.

They group looks up to see the first Life Crystal floating down with a pair of ghostly blue hands bringing it. The hands barely had any sleeves, but the parts it did have before fading away had flowery patterns. A purple fire flew out of the Life Crystal and into the church. Mat grabbed a note that was also in the stump.
