Sophie was having everyone over to play Uno. The only person that needed to arrive was Biana.

When the doorbell finally rang, Biana and Fitz were invited into the room, and they started the game.

Partway into the game, the screaming started.

"FRICK YOU, DEX," Tam shouted as Dex placed a plus four card down. Tam already had half the deck, and it didn't look like he was having much hope.

Dex shrugged. "Sucks to suck."

Tam had murder in his eyes as he took the cards from the deck.

Sophie, Linh, and Biana were stiffling laughter. Everyone got overly competitive during card games, so it was only a matter of time before the screaming started.

As Linh took her turn, Sophie felt her heart stall. She clutched Biana's arm and lowered herself to the ground. "Seizure," she muttered.

The commotion around her came to a sudden stop. Or at least she thought it did. Her hearing and vision were already flickering out on her. The tingles on her tongue took out the last of her consciousness.

When she came to, Grady was leaning over her. She groaned at the bright light. Someone got up to flip the light switch. She sighed in relief. Grady helped her up and to the couch. She leaned into the cushion.

"Are you alright?" Grady asked.

Sophie nodded. "I'll be alright in a moment."

A few minutes later, Sophie crawled off the couch and back to the ground with her friends.

"Do you need to take a break?" Dex asked when she rubbed her temples.

"No, I'm alright," She promised.

There wasn't much yelling for the rest of the game, much to her relief. After everyone left, it was time for supper.

She got ready for bed afterward and went to sleep. She woke up at eight and decided to try and call Keefe.

The phone range, when it got to the fifth ring, he answered.

"Hello?" his voice was crackly.

"Hey." Sophie smiled. "Haven't heard from you in a while."

"Yeah," he murmured. "Sorry about that."

"It's fine. What are you up to?"

"Sleeping." He yawned.

"Oh..." She looked at her clock. "Sorry. I didn't mean to wake you up. What time is it for you?"

"You're alright. It's five am, right now. I don't get up until eight. Were three hours behind."

"Oh, ok. What's your plan for today? Have you been having fun?" she asked

"We're going snorkeling today. And it's usually not too bad when I can avoid my parents, but I'll be stuck with them all day today, so we'll see."

"Alright. We'll good luck, hope you have fun."

He never answered.

"Hello...? Hello?" she repeated.

Sophie heard a loud snort. He must've fallen asleep.

She chuckled and shook her head, "Alright, Keefe. Sleep well." And hung up.
