Sophie paced around the house before checking the mail for the fifth time that day. It still hadn't arrived. It was starting to make her anxious.

Finally, what felt like hours later, the mail truck pulled up to the mailbox. She raced up the driveway and claimed the envelope she'd been waiting for all day.

Much to her dismay, she couldn't open it yet. Her parents weren't home, and they would want to be there when she did.

She tapped her feet against the floor while she waited. It felt like an eternity until the garage door opened and her parents walked into the living room.

She raced up to them, waving the envelope in their faces. "It's here! It's here! It's here!"

Grady chuckled. "Alright. Let's sit down so we can open it."

They situation on the couch. Sophie was shaking as she peeled the envelope open. She had to take a few deep breaths to calm herself. Her breath stalled when her eyes scanned over it.

She... got accepted into Foxfire University!

She screeched with delight. Grady and Edaline hugged her.

"We're so proud of you, Kiddo!" Grady exclaimed.

Sophie couldn't stop laughing. Happy tears were in the corner of her eyes. When she could collect herself, she looked back down at the paper. She couldn't stop smiling

At lunch the next day, Sophie  brought the paper with her. The rest of her friends should also have gotten their papers back, too. The plan was to place all the papers on the table face down and rotate them around to look at them all.

She tried to keep her face even so that way it would be a surprise for everyone. That was the whole point of the game they were doing.

She took her seat at the table. They had their papers facing down to shuffle them. Sophie picked the paper up in front of her.

It was Tam's. And he made it in, too!

It kept going around the table. Finally, she got to the last one. Keefe.

And.... he got accepted, too!

Sophie couldn't believe it. How did the entire table get accepted? She highly doubted that was actually possible. Yet here they were.

She looked up. They all had shock on their faces. They seemed about as surprised as she was. Slowly, grins spread across their faces.
