"Hoseok."
The only alpha among them who had been silently watching
from a distance answered, hands sliding into this pant pocket.
__________________________...you were smiling...
Hoseok wasn't gonna lie, he had fun. This seemed to be the best home experience he'd had so far. Not even the twelve years he'd lived with his sperm donor and step mum.
First off, the alpha's mum was the complete epitome of what everyone wanted for a mother. She was sweet, way too sweet for the omega to handle.
Yoonji on the other hand was just a jovial feminine cat that couldn't sit one place. Very stubborn too. She seemed to always have little beef with her brother one way or the other and was always the reason for it. He made a conclusion that she was just a jovial person, way too jovial to be related to the Don of a dangerous mafia.
This left the omega to wonder why Yoongi was the only dangerous one among them. If they were this sweet and nice, why was he different? Was his upbringing different from Yoonji's?
They'd spent half of the night with Mejin (Yoongi's mum), preparing Tteokbokki and Haemultang. These were two Korean traditional dishes that Hoseok thought he'd never see again, talkless of even tasting. He had to admit also, Mejin was a great cook. No wonder the entire kitchen smelt like home, she had her unique way of making her meals and also was very strict in terms of placements and measurements, scolding them whenever they put the wrong measurement, or even used the wrong tool, of course except Hoseok. She was understandably easy with him, and Hoseok was honestly greatful for that, cause he knew literally nothing when it came to cooking, not even the simplest American meal.
He had spent six years of his teenage and relevant life in the silo, being thought how to be obedient slaves to their masters and not the basic necessities of living.

.Yoongi on the other hand didn't look one bit interested in their kitchen game, he had tried leaving earlier, but Mejin had forced him to stay. He had no option than to just remain there, sitting quietly on an empty island, watching the omega's do the cooking, and would only participate if Mejin asked him to bring something down.
However, without knowing it, he had his gaze, tailing a specific omega among the three throughout the time. Now that he was realising it, he hadn't seen him this carefree and smiley.
It felt heartwarming to witness the soft side of the omega, and was he being greedy if he wished for the omega to remain this way?. Though he also enjoyed the dark and challenging side of the omega, but this seemed better. Watching him tail his mum around the kitchen like a lost puppy, following every of her orders like his life depends on it and making silly mistakes that would earn a fit of laughs from Yoonji... Yoongi would have to admit, he enjoyed this side more.
He found himself smiling when the omega yet again clumsily dropped some vegetables on the floor, with his mum giving him the stern look, and Hoseok returning her gaze with a sheepish grin.
"Opah!"
Yoongi jolted, snapping his gaze to his side. Right beside him stood Yoonji who looked like she was about to enter the elder. How did she even get here!
"What!"
"You were smiling."
"And?"
"You never smile, I needed to confirm if you were really smiling." She answered, pulling out a stool near the alpha, before settling on it.
Yoongi rolled his eyes, gaze going back to watching the two omegas. "What are you doing here, I thought you were cooking with mum?"
She snorted "Nahh... not anymore, she's too strict with her methods, I feel like I'm walking on eggshells each time she orders me around. Besides she seems to tolerate Hoseok better than me."
"Hoseok is your senior."
She rolled her eyes, her arms resting on the island. "Yeah, we're in Russia, not Korea. All those honorific are not needed here."
"Wow!" Yoongi turned his deadpanned gaze to the little omega, studying her for a while.
"What!"
"I think I need to return you back to Korea, you're becoming way too disrespectful."
She quickly sat up, eyes lighting up in excitement. "Really?! When!?"
The alpha poked his inner cheek, realizing something. "Well now that I know that's what you want, you won't be returning to Korea anymore."
"Aww come onnn!!" She whined, throwing her hands up in the air in frustration.
"What's the matter?" Both siblings turned their gaze to the the older woman who had her questioning gaze on them.
"Nothing serious-..."
"He said he's not taking me back to Korea!!" The girl interrupted, angry glare at the Alpha.
"Not until you learn your manners!" Yoongi retorted, not having time for any of her rants.
And there, it began again, the almost unstoppable argument between the two.
Mejin signed, already giving up on attempting to separate the two. She turned to Hoseok who already had his gaze on both siblings with an unreadable expression. Signaling him to begin setting the table, the omega nodded picking up the steeming meals one after the order and placing them on the one large table in the kitchen. He was pretty good when it came to arranging things in order, so setting the table wasn't a big task for him.
He smiled triumphantly to himself, dusting his hands as soon as he placed the last dish on the dining. Feeling a pair of eyes on him, he raised his gaze up to meet mejin smiling fondly at him. Honestly, he would have to admit it, he wasn't used to her fondness, that explains why he was always awkward next to her.
So instead of smiling back at her, he gave her a thin lip bland smile, using the still nagging siblings as a means to avoid her gaze.
It worked, for she too turned to them, now with a scowl. "Will you too keep quiet and let's enjoy our dinner, yeah?"
Yoonji was about to protest, "But mum-...!"
"Sshhh... dinner first!" She pointed out, her tone firm."
