" That's the only way I can know they're
save and are waiting for me.
Until the signal is sent,
we won't stop searching."

...Nice try ROSA...

Hoseok woke up to the biggest migraine he thought he'd ever had in history, he tried getting up, but the weighted blanket on top of him was doing nothing but straining his already weakened muscles. He groaned In pain as his whole body began to ache, his shoulder and tight especially.

Where am I? He tried scanning around him, but his blurred vision did nothing to answer his question.

"Mum! Hoseok is awake!" He heard a familiar voice squeal beside him

Yoonji?

As soon as he recognised her voice, everything came flooding into his memory like a million gallons of water being flodded out of a dam. His head ache returned in a full force, and the pounding was way too intense for his weak body to handle. He let out a sharp cry and all was blank again. He'd lost consciousness for the fifth time again without knowing it.

"Oh no!! He fainted again!!" Yoonji began to cry, turning to her mother, who had her worried face as she tried everything to bring him back to consciousness. "Mum, he's not going to die right? I don't want him to die!!"

"Yoonji!! Don't say that!!" She interrupted, her tone stern. "He's not going to die, I promise you. Now will you do me a favour and let Yoongi know where we are?" She  asked, pressing a penny to the omega's palm.

Yoonji nodded, cleaning her tears as she got up, picking her coat and her shoes, she hurried out of the room.

FLASH BACK

"I didn't make any promises."

Hoseok could feel his blood boiling as he glared at the man. Stealing a quick glance at Yoonji who was still squirming in the man's hold, he looked at the man in front of him, then returned his gaze to Mejin who still looked calm.

He so badly wished they could read his thought right now, for he wanted something from them... just one thing.

As if the universe was on his side, Mejin understood the gaze he gave her. Though she was hesitant of the idea, she gave him an assuring nod.

A small smile barely noticeable tugged on Hoseok’s lips as he returned his gaze to the alpha in front of him. “No promises you say?” His voice was mockingly calm. “Neither do I then.” And within the blink of an eye, in a swift motion, the omega swept down the two masked men standing behind him, grabbing both of their gun in a speed faster than light, he didn’t waste his time in fireing both of the guns all at the same time to wherever his arms took him too.

Through his peripheral vision, he could see mejin pulling yoonji away towards the secret passage, a relieved smile made it’s way to his lips as soon as they were out of sight. He didn’t stop shooting until both guns ran out of bullets.

There were numerous bodies scattered on the floor, some were lucky enough to escape, and it was left with just him in the wide space, or that’s what he thought.

He was wrong, he wasn’t alone. Just as he was about to take a step over the dead bodies, his hair was yanked back, with his back hitting the floor in an instant. Right above him was their leader, a smug look on his face as he stared down at the omega. “nice try ROSA, you can’t run from m...”

Hoseok cut him off with a stinging kick to his knee, causing the alpha to loose his balance. He got up just in time to dodge a punch to his face from the alpha, but wasn’t lucky enough to dudge the knife being jabbed into his tight. They got into a heated combat with the alpha obviously on the winning hand. He was much more stronger, Hoseok couldn’t deny that, but he still got his way on fewer occasions. The continuous kicks being sent to his ribs and guts were way too intense for him to get back on his feet, his vision was slowly getting blurred. With the last of his strength, he reached out for a gun close to him, aiming it carelessly at the man and pulling the trigger.

He wasn’t sure if the bullet hit the right spot, but he knew it hit the alpha for he could hear the alpha’s painful growl as he staggered out of the apartment.
He let out a deep sigh as he tried raising his head up to check out his almost dismantled self. There was a pool of blood surrounding him, the cloth wrapped around his shoulder was loosened, blood slowly seeping out of the wound. The knife used to stab his tight was still in there, with blood pooled around it.

He let out a bitter laugh, his head hitting the floor. “I’m dead meat.” He muttered to himself, chuckling admist words as his eyes slowly closed.

End of flashback

When Hoseok gained consciousness again, he was met with an almost hopeless Mejin massaging his forehead with a damp towel, her forehead was creased to that of a worried one as she kept mumbling inaudible prayers.

“where’s Yoonji?”

He watched as her wide eyes shot to his face, relieve washing over her entire feature, as soon as she saw him awake.

Finally having enough strength in pushing the weighted blanket on top of him away, he tried sitting up, but mejin stopped him.

"Don't move!" She stated in a panic tone, pushing him gently back to the bed.

Hoseok frowned, confused gaze at the elder woman. "Why? I feel much better now."

She sent him a deadpanned look before signing, "No, you're not any better. You're still in a critical condition and any slight movement can trigger your injuries. It still surprises me how you're still alive, but I'm guessing it's god's doing."

Hoseok scoffed, turning his gaze to the ceiling. "Fuck whichever god it is then, I finally thought I was gonna die." He muttered to himself, blank gaze stuck at the ceiling.

The older woman gave him a sympathetic look, her hands brushing away stray strands of his hair away from his face.

"You remind me of little Me." she spoke calmly, smiling at the omega.

"Little you?" Hoseok turned his gaze to her, his brows raised...
