"Right... I thought as much."
Hoseok muttered to himself.

...he saw me...

Now that Hoseok was realizing it, ever since they'd left the safe floor, they hadn't come in contact with any of Yoongi's armed guards scattered around, talkless of sighting them. The mansion felt strangely empty. This felt odd to the omega, none of this was sitting right with him.

"Come on! I've got one more place to show you!" Yoonji called out, pulling the omega with her into the elevator.

"Where?"

"The garden. Don't worry, it's still inside this building. You don't have to worry about us getting out."

"Good. Cause I was about to protest."

"Ha! He's afraid!" She mocked, punching a button on the door.

"Your thought." Hoseok shrugged, as the elevator began to descend.

They got to the ground floor which was just a large empty space, more like a lobby. It had large art frames scattered all over the wall, and a few doors leading to different rooms. There was a large receptionist counter which was as expected, unoccupied. Hoseok could remember always seeing a female beta sitting there, the few times he'd passed the lobby.

The place was empty, not a single being could be seen besides the two omegas, also, there was no armed guard. This spiked Hoseok's suspicion even further. Something was wrong. He could sense it.

"Is there anyone else beside us three in here?"

"Yeah, Mabel... and a few guards and staffs." Yoonji answered, unsuspicious, opening the slide leading to the garden.

The garden was a whole different universe, in complete contrast with the theme design of the mansion. There were different colourful flowers planted in rows, emphasizing in the neatness and beauty of the place. But that seemed to be off Hoseok's mind.

"Where? I haven't seen anyone of them. This entire place seems empty."

Yoonji's brow furrowed, looking around her. "That's true, I haven't seen anyone of them either... maybe Yoongi needed them all." She tried to rationalize.

"Wouldn't that be really dangerous to leave this place unguarded then? Especially when both you and your mum are here."

"...y- yeah..." She stammered, unsure, worried gaze meeting the taller omega. "Maybe I should call Mabel, she should be somewhere around here." She added, pulling out her phone.

As if waiting for the cue, there was a loud bang which was definitely a gunshot. Suddenly, the sound of shattering glass echoed through the lobby, followed by the thunder of footsteps. The two omegas exchanged worried glances, sensing something was amiss.

Yoonji began to panic as the footsteps approached. They were still behind the glass wall of the garden, so they were partially save and unseen, but the approaching footsteps weren't helping. Any moment from now, they might be in the hands of those intruders.

"Hey! You'll be fine, okay? "I'll get you protected, I promise you!" Hoseok tried to assure, gripping firmly on her shoulder, his soft, concerned gaze locked with her teary ones.

He was certain when he said that, afterall, this wasn't his first time handling bunch of dangerously harmed alpha's, his only problem now was getting them to a safer zone, for he hadn't known his route around this place yet. He could have just led them back to the safe floor, but that seemed dangerous. It was many feet above them, they'll surely get surrounded before they got there. Plus, mejin was still in there which he presumed to be save. There was no way they could get to her.

Right??

If she was already save up there, he'd just have to find somewhere nearby that was save for the both of them.

He was wrong. Turns out they'll both have to go back to the save floor.

Yoonji's voice trembled as she whispered, "Oh no, oh no, oh no... I didn't activate the security lock on the safe floor... Mom is alone! She's not save!"

"Shit!" Hoseok cursed, gritting his teeth.

There was another sudden loud bang, and yelling, earning a shriek flinch from yoonji.

The noise was way too close for them to consider their present hiding spot as 'safe' Anymore.

Hoseok knew he had to think fast before they got caught.

"Which other place is safer besides the safe floor." He asked in a whisper, peeping through the peeping hole of the blurred glass wall to notice two masked men lurking around.

"Uhh... t- the bunker?" Yoonji answered, her voice still trembling. B- but we'll need the special elevator to get there, it's still far from here."

"Okay..." Hoseok looked away from the peep hole, pacing around, biting on his nails.

"I need somewhere nearer, for you to stay in while I go up to ensure your mother is safe."

"You're going up?? Alone??" Yoonji queried, her voice raised.

"Yeah, I have to." Hoseok breathed out. You said your mum is not save, I can activate the security while she's still in there and she should be fine, right?"

"Then I'll have to come with you."

"No you can't, it'll be really dangerous for us both."

"I have to, I'm the only one that can activate the lock! Yoongi made it that way!"

Hoseok turned to her, confused brow raised. "And your mum?..."

"She can't."  Yoonji let out a soft sign, her shoulders slumping. "We need to get going  if we really want to get to mum before them." She pointed out, changing the topic.

"Right. Okay... I need you to stay close while we're out. You know your way around here more than I do,  so I want you to get to her first, while I handle them."

"W- what about you?"

"I'll be fine. Just make sure you both are safe, okay?"

"B- but-..."

"Shhh, no buts." He interrupted, placing his fingers on her lips. "I'll be opening the door  now." He continued, placing his hands on the glass wall.

He paused, looking through the peep hole, cursing a little as he withdrew from the wall.

"What?"

"He saw me." Hoseok breathed out, staring at the blurred wall that divided the masked men and the two omegas.

"I need you to stay back a little. I'll get back to you when the coast is clear." He said,  turning to the younger omega.

Yoonji could do nothing but nod, ensuring all her trust and safety with the older omega at the moment.

And with that, Hoseok hurled out of their hideout, slamming the slide wall, shut as quick as he left it.
