Yoongi fired a bullet at the woman's feet,
earning a painful cry.
"Don't waste our time."
______________
...Lucky me...
"Mirae's darkened gaze glared at Hoseok.
"So you're here to kill your own family? Your own father?!
Hoseok scoffed. "you were my father six years ago, and I never considered her my mother." He said, his eyes flickering to the injured woman beside the old man. "You both were the biggest parasites I've ever had. Now tell me who is Jay."
"Jay is your brother. Your twin brother."
"I know that already. Why was he separated from me is what I want to know."
"Because he's not a JADE! Idiot! Put the math together! You're all nothing but a fucking property, he's the only real son I have!"
"I see." Hoseok gave a slight nod, not seeming fazed by his piercing words. "So I wasn't planned."
"Lucky me." Mirae rolled his eyes. "You're right son, you were never planned. I never wanted an omega. But realizing you were gonna wort me a great fortune is what kept you alive till now."
Mirae's lips curled into a sneer, his eyes filled with malice as he leaned forward. "You want to know why I killed your mother?" His voice dripped with venom. "It was because of you, Hoseok. That useless omega blood running through your veins. She gave me nothing but disappointment, birthing a weakling like you."
Hoseok's breath caught in his throat, but he forced himself to stay composed, his face betraying no emotion.
"You were never supposed to be born, you know that?" Mirae continued, eyes gleaming with cruelty. "I tolerated you, made use of you, because that was the only way to get something valuable out of you. An omega like you is nothing more than a tool—an asset to be owned, to be used. The only thing you're good for is satisfying alphas, meeting their needs. That's all you'll ever be good for."
Hoseok's fists clenched by his sides, but he remained silent, letting the words wash over him like poison.
"You think you'll ever be free?" Mirae spat, laughing darkly. "You'll never be free, Hoseok. You're tied to this life, to me, until your last breath. You were born to serve, to obey. That's your only purpose in life."
Yoongi's grip tightened around the gun, his eyes narrowing at the venom Mirae spewed. Hoseok's silence was painful to witness, but he knew the omega needed to face this moment, to hear the ugly truth from the man who had controlled his life.
Without a word, Hoseok turned on his heel and headed for the door, his face still unreadable. "Do whatever you want with them," he muttered to Yoongi, his voice hollow.
Yoongi didn't hesitate. The moment Hoseok was gone, he stepped forward, raising the gun. Mirae and his wife's panicked pleas filled the room, but Yoongi's expression was cold, merciless. Two shots rang out in quick succession, silencing them forever.
___
Hoseok sat in the car, staring blankly ahead, his chest tight with emotions he could no longer hold back. Tears streamed down his face, his body trembling with a mixture of anger, pain, and helplessness. Everything Mirae had said echoed in his mind, every cruel word cutting deeper than the last.
He wished it wasn't true, wished he could erase the years of torment, the constant feeling of being nothing but a tool, a possession. He wished his father had loved him, even a little. But all he had ever been was a burden, something to be used and discarded.
The car door opened, and Yoongi slid into the driver's seat beside him, his usual composed expression softening when he saw the state Hoseok was in. Without a word, he reached over, pulling the omega towards him by his waist, so that he was straddling his laps.
Hoseok broke down into more sobs, hiding his face in the alpha's neck. Yoongi remained quiet, his hands rubbing suitingly up and down the omega's back.
"I just wished I was normal." Hoseok muttered admist sobs...
Yoongi tightened his hold on Hoseok, feeling every shudder, every tremble in the omega's body as he wept into his neck. The weight of Hoseok's words hit him hard, the pain and vulnerability woven into every syllable.
"All I wished for was to earn his love. It never occurred to me that he hated me this much," Hoseok went on, his voice small and broken. "Why couldn't I have been like everyone else? Why did I have to be... me?"
Yoongi stayed silent, his arms wrapped tightly around Hoseok as the omega continued to spill his heart, the words tumbling out between sobs. Every breath Hoseok took was shaky, as if he was gasping for air between the waves of pain crashing over him.
"I tried... I tried so hard," Hoseok whispered, his voice barely audible. "I thought if I was obedient, if I just did everything they wanted, maybe... maybe he'd see me as more than just a mistake. I thought I could earn his love... but all he ever saw was an omega. Something weak. Something disposable."
Yoongi's hand gently trailed up and down Hoseok's back, his touch the only steady, grounding thing in the whirlwind of emotions Hoseok was drowning in. The omega clung to him like a lifeline, his fingers digging into the fabric of Yoongi's shirt, desperate for any form of comfort.
"I wasn't enough for him," Hoseok choked out. "No matter what I did, it was never enough. I kept telling myself that maybe, maybe one day, he'd look at me and see his son... not some tool he could use to get what he wanted. But he never did."
Tears streamed down Hoseok's face, soaking Yoongi's collar, but the alpha didn't care. All that mattered was holding Hoseok together, keeping him from falling apart completely.
"I wasted so many years trying to be someone he'd love," Hoseok continued, his voice hoarse from crying. "I let him take everything from me. My freedom, my childhood... even my sense of self. I don't even know who I am anymore."
Hoseok's body trembled in Yoongi's arms, the weight of his confession hanging heavily in the air. He buried his face deeper into the alpha's neck, as if he could hide from the world, from the unbearable truth of his own existence.
"I don't know how to move on from this," Hoseok admitted, his voice cracking. "I don't know if I'll ever stop feeling like I'm broken... like I'm nothing."
Yoongi's hand continued to move in soothing circles on Hoseok's back, never pausing, never faltering. He knew that words weren't what Hoseok needed right now. He needed to feel heard, to let out the years of anguish that had been bottled up inside him for so long.
"I wish I could just disappear," Hoseok whispered, his voice so small, so fragile. "Maybe then... it would hurt less."
For a long time, the only sound in the car was Hoseok's soft sobs, the weight of his grief filling the space between them. Yoongi held him close, his chin resting on top of Hoseok's head, his own heart aching with a helplessness he rarely felt. He wished he could take away the pain, wished he could give Hoseok the sense of peace he so desperately needed.
Slowly, the sobs began to subside, the tension in Hoseok's body easing as exhaustion took over. His breath started to slow, becoming more even, more steady. Yoongi felt the omega's grip on his shirt loosen, his body growing heavier in his lap.
Hoseok was finally drifting off to sleep, the emotional storm having worn him out completely. Yoongi continued to hold him, his arms protective and strong, never letting go, even as Hoseok's breathing deepened.
The night outside was quiet, and in the stillness of the car, Yoongi made a silent promise. He would stay by Hoseok's side, through every broken moment, every tear, every doubt. He would never let him feel alone again.
