It was about the internal battle Hoseok was fighting,
the demons that clawed at him every time
he thought of facing the man who’d
left scars that ran deeper than skin.

...don't go...
Surprisingly, Mejin wasn’t too mad about leaving for Korea in a few days. Although a little bit disappointed, she understood why it was necessary. She could sense things had slowly started turning ugly since Yoongi and Hoseok’s marriage announcement, the tension building like a storm ready to break. She had seen the change in her son, the strain that had settled into the lines of his face and the weight he carried on his shoulders. It wasn’t just about the business anymore; it was personal. And that made it all the more dangerous.
Yoonji, on the other hand, was blissfully unaware of the complexities that surrounded the situation. She was the happiest of all, her young mind filled with thoughts of adventures in her original home land. She pranced around the house, chattering excitedly about all the things she wanted to see in Korea. To her, this was nothing more than a grand vacation, a chance to see the world beyond the confines of their estate
It was left with Hoseok. Yoongi hadn’t set eyes on the omega since their last argument, the harsh words they exchanged still lingering like a bitter aftertaste. He still wished Hoseok would go with them to Korea, away from the danger that lurked around every corner. But with Seokjin’s advice echoing in his mind, Yoongi was reconsidering his approach. He knew forcing Hoseok wouldn’t end well, not when Hoseok’s stubbornness matched his own.
So here he was, making his way towards the omega's room after almost a week of not setting eyes on each other. He couldn't lie, he missed him already. He missed his entire being, he missed his lips...
His lips
Yoongi couldn’t help but smile as he approached the omega's door. Yeah, he was surely going to kiss him again, a billion zillion times if that was even possible. And maybe it'll escalate to something more affectionate as the time went by.
Hovering in front of his door, Yoongi gave a single knock, waiting for a response, not a few seconds passed did the door creak open, with Seokjin’s head poking out.
"Look who's here today." The omega teased, emerging completely from the door.
"Where's Hoseok." Yoongi asked instead, ignoring the omega's teasing tone. His gaze shifted over Seokjin’s shoulder, trying to catch a glimpse of Hoseok.
Seokjin crossed his arms, leaning against the doorframe with a knowing smirk. “You’ve got some nerve showing up now,” he remarked, his voice light but his eyes sharp. “What’s the matter, Yoongi? Missing your omega?”
Yoongi’s jaw tightened, his patience thinning. “I’m not in the mood, Seokjin,” he replied tersely. “Just tell me where he is.”
Seokjin’s smile widened, pushing the door slightly open. "You’re lucky you came sooner, he's been waiting for you, come on in!" He opened the door wider for the alpha, revealing a dishevelled hair Hoseok, tired eyes already glaring at the alpha, his lips slightly pursed in an unconscious pout. He was still angry, Yoongi could tell, but that expression was too cute to be considered angry. He held the urge to laugh, knowing it was a serious situation.
Stepping into the room, the air was thick with unresolved tension. Hoseok’s gaze never left him, a mixture of annoyance and something softer lurking beneath. He was wrapped in a loose sweatshirt, his hair a messy halo around his head, and Yoongi couldn’t help but think how beautiful he looked even in his irritation. Seokjin quietly closed the door behind him, leaving them alone to navigate the fragile truce.
"Missed me?" Yoongi grinned, taking his seat on the bed.
"Get out." Hoseok seethed through gritted teeth, his voice almost in a whisper
Yoongi chuckled lightly, "I should leave? You won't listen to what I have to say first?"
Hoseok's pointed glare at the Alpha didn't waver. "What?"
"Well, since you want me out of your sight, there's no need telling you then." Yoongi got up, making his way towards the exit.
Hoseok's glare turned wide, sitting upright quickly. "W- what?! Wait! You can't just leave!?" He spoke quickly, his once angry tone changing to that of panic and longingness. The shift in Hoseok’s voice tugged at Yoongi’s heart, a small smirk playing on his lips as he paused near the door. He turned his head slightly, just enough to catch the sight of Hoseok’s wide eyes and the way his fingers clenched the edge of the blanket, almost like he was holding on for dear life.
“Why not?” Yoongi asked, feigning indifference. “You said you wanted me out, so I’m going.”
Hoseok bit his lip, his frustration evident as he wrestled with his own stubbornness. He didn’t want to be the one to cave first, but the thought of Yoongi walking away—again—made his chest tighten with an ache he couldn’t ignore.
“Fine,” Hoseok huffed, arms crossing over his chest, his voice softer now, almost vulnerable. “Stay. Just… don’t go.”
Yoongi turned around fully, his expression softening as he approached Hoseok. The alpha took his time, observing every detail—the way Hoseok's shoulders were tense, the uncertainty flickering in his eyes. It was a delicate moment, one that Yoongi knew he needed to handle with care.
"I figured you still want to be a part of this mission." Hoseok's hopeful eyes raised to the alpha.
"Right?"
Hoseok nodded quickly, big brown orbs staring hopefully at the alpha
Yoongi let out a soft chuckle, mesmerised by Hoseok’s effortless beauty. Sometimes he wondered why he, of all people, had to be born into this messed-up part of the world. But then again, he was thankful for it—thankful that their paths had crossed, even if it meant enduring the danger and chaos that came with their lives. Because if it were any other way, Yoongi knew he might never have met Hoseok, might never have felt the pull of the omega’s warmth or the way his presence made everything a little bit brighter.
"You really don’t know when to back down, do you?” Yoongi murmured, reaching out to gently tuck a stray strand of hair behind Hoseok’s ear. His fingers lingered, brushing against Hoseok’s cheek, and he felt the omega lean into the touch ever so slightly, like he couldn’t help himself.
"I can't help it." Hoseok admitted, his tone soft but firm. "I vowed to kill that monster."
"Many of us want to kill him", Yoongi chuckled admist words, his thumb gently grazing down to the omega's neck.
