Hoseok nodded quickly,
trying to hide the blush still lingering on his cheeks....

...says who...
Hoseok had slowly drifted to sleep while Namjoon and Yoongi were discussing, the exhaustion from the hectic day together with his almost ending heat finally taken a toll on him.
Yoongi ordered Namjoon out while he tucked him in, placing a peck on his forehead before leaving the room to meet Namjoon and the rest.
"Okay y'all have a lot of explanation to give me." Yoongi spoke as he settled himself on a wooden chair.
They were in another rented room in the motel, that seemed more like a conference room, except that it looked unkept. There were some of Yoongi's men standing guard outside the room.
"First of... who are you?" Yoongi pointed out the new face among the five.
"It's Seokjin." The said male grinned, widely, not showing any form of hesitanse. Yoongi’s brow furrowed, still confused, trying to remember where he had heard the name from.
"He's the one I talked to you about. Remember? From the silo." Namjoon butted in.
"Oh" Yoongi nodded, finally remembering. "But why is he here? He's not supposed to be here." Yoongi queried, turning his attention to Namjoon.
This earned a snicker from Seokjin. "You don't expect me to sit still and watch my friend panic just because some stupid alpha chose to endanger his life for him." He spoke rather bluntly, surprising both Yoongi and every other person in the room.
No one spoke this rude to their Don no matter how close he was to them... (OK let's count Hoseok out).
Yoongi’s eyes narrowed, his gaze locking onto Seokjin, a flicker of surprise and irritation flashing across his features. The room fell into a tense silence as everyone held their breath, waiting to see how Yoongi would respond to the blunt challenge. The air was thick with a mixture of unease and curiosity; it wasn’t every day that someone dared to speak to Yoongi that way.
Namjoon cleared his throat, breaking the silence. “Seokjin’s here because he’s good at what he does,” he interjected, his tone calm but firm, trying to diffuse the tension. “And right now, we need all the help we can get.”
Seokjin crossed his arms, standing his ground, unflinching under Yoongi’s scrutinising stare. “I came because Hoseok’s my friend,” he said plainly. “I won’t apologise for that.”
Yoongi leaned back in his chair, his expression unreadable. He didn’t say anything for a moment, just studied Seokjin with an intensity that made the room feel smaller, the air heavier. Everyone seemed to shift uneasily, except for Seokjin, who stared right back, unafraid.
Finally, Yoongi spoke, his voice calm but edged with steel. “I don’t care why you’re here, as long as you’re useful.” He leaned forward slightly, his eyes boring into Seokjin’s. “But make no mistake—this isn’t some playground. One wrong move, and you’re out. Understand?”
Seokjin nodded, his expression unwavering. “Crystal clear,” he replied, his tone just as firm.
Yoongi diverted his attention to the only beta among them. "Kim? I'm surprised to see u here?"
"Don't question my presence Min." Taehyung responded with a grin. Let's not forget I joined you in some missions a long time ago. Besides, who do you think thought your cupcake how to take out those bullets?"
Yoongi’s brow raised slightly at Taehyung’s response, a flicker of surprise crossing his face. It was rare for Taehyung to involve himself in these kinds of operations anymore; he had long since stepped back from the front lines, preferring to work in the shadows, orchestrating things from behind the scenes. But here he was, standing before Yoongi with a grin that was equal parts playful and defiant.
“Is that so?” Yoongi mused, leaning back in his chair, his fingers tapping lightly on the armrest. “And here I thought Hoseok’s skills were purely instinctual.”
Taehyung scoffed. "Well, he did try for a starter, I was afraid he was going to mess you up big time, but you're up and alive. You need some rest tho... you look like a zombie." He blurted out bluntly.
"Thanks for the advice." Yoongi responded with a sarcastic tone. Remembering Taehyung was the one to always annoy.
"He's right tho." Jimin who had been quiet all along voiced out, concern in his tone. "You’re very pale right now, if you don't take enough rest, it'll affect you later."
"I'm not resting until we get a hold of Jay... not only Jay actually, a lot of people, including my father, he indirectly had a hand in this recent attack."
The atmosphere in the room grew heavier at Yoongi’s revelation. His father’s involvement, even if indirect, added another layer of complexity to an already volatile situation. Yoongi's relationship with his father had always been a fraught one, filled with power struggles and underhanded manoeuvres, but this crossed a line.
"Hungjae wouldn't try to kill you?!" Jungkook spoke, a disbelieving frown on his face.
"Says who?" Yoongi scoffed. "He for sure knows what he's doing, he only uses everything around him for his own benefit, not caring how it might affect others. Him connecting Hoseok to me is surely another of his games, and I'll make sure he doesn't win this time."
Namjoon shifted uncomfortably, running a hand through his hair. “Your father’s involvement changes things. We’ll have to be even more careful; he’s not going to make this easy for us.”
Yoongi nodded, his jaw tightening. “That’s why we need to strike fast and hard. Jay might be the immediate threat, but if my father’s pulling strings behind the scenes, we need to sever those ties before he has a chance to retaliate.”
Jungkook frowned, tapping his chin thoughtfully. “If your father’s involved, it’s not just about power. He’s trying to send a message, one that’s meant to weaken your position—and get Hoseok back.”
Yoongi let out an heavy sign, rubbing his hands over his temple "I know, I'll do everything to weaken his power, so his chances of getting Hoseok back will be lower. The last thing I want is him having a hold of Hoseok back again. If he succeeds, the silo will be reestablished back again, that one on it's own needs to crumble, Hoseok is the sole aim for that."
"Hmm... you're actually not a bad person." Seokjin butted in, seeming satisfied with the alpha's word. "I thought you were like your father, turns out I'm wrong, my apologies." He stated with a playful defiance.
Yoongi fought the urge to roll his eyes, choosing to ignore the tall omega instead.
"So what news do we have about Jay?" He asked instead, turning his attention to Namjoon.
"Before that, there's something you'll need to hear." Jungkook spoke, turning his gaze to Jimin, who seemed hesitant.
"C'mon." Jungkook nudged him lightly.
"What is it?" Yoongi asked, his brow raised, watching them exchange suspicious gaze.
