“You can’t lie to me,
cupcake,”
Yoongi said,
his smirk softening into something almost gentle,
but no less commanding.
“You’ve been avoiding me since last night... after I kissed you.
You can't deny that.”
He husked,
leaning closer to the omega's lips.

...and I want you to go with them...

Hoseok's breath caught in his throat at Yoongi's words, the memory of their previous kiss crashing back with startling clarity. His mind raced, grappling with the surge of emotions that Yoongi’s proximity stirred. He wanted to deny it, to pretend that kiss hadn’t left him shaken, but the truth clung stubbornly to the surface, refusing to be buried.

“Yoongi…” Hoseok’s voice was barely a whisper, his resolve slipping further as the alpha’s warm breath fanned across his skin. The vulnerability in Hoseok’s eyes didn’t go unnoticed by Yoongi, who watched him with an intensity that bordered on possessive.

Yoongi’s fingers tightened slightly on Hoseok’s jaw, not enough to hurt, but enough to keep him still. “Tell me you didn’t feel anything,” Yoongi challenged, his gaze flickering down to Hoseok’s parted lips, then back up to meet his eyes. “Look me in the eyes and tell me it meant nothing.”

Hoseok’s lips trembled as he struggled to form the words, his mind battling with his heart. He wanted to speak, to push Yoongi away, but the truth tangled in his throat, refusing to be set free. Yoongi’s closeness, the heat radiating from his body, the commanding presence that seemed to envelop Hoseok entirely—it was too much to ignore.

Unable to find the strength to lie, Hoseok’s silence spoke louder than any denial could have. His chest heaved with each shallow breath, and Yoongi’s expression softened, just slightly, a flicker of something almost gentle passing through his eyes. Hoseok’s gaze dropped to Yoongi’s lips, the same lips that had claimed his own just the night before, and he felt his resolve shatter completely.

Yoongi took Hoseok’s silence as the answer he’d been waiting for, a silent admission that neither of them could run from any longer. He tilted Hoseok’s chin higher, his grip firm but tender, and leaned in, closing the gap between them with deliberate slowness, giving Hoseok every chance to pull away. But Hoseok didn’t move. He remained frozen, caught between the urge to flee and the undeniable pull Yoongi had on him.

“Yoongi…” Hoseok’s voice broke, his eyes fluttering shut as Yoongi’s lips hovered just a breath away. There was a moment of stillness, the tension between them thick and palpable, before Yoongi finally closed the distance, capturing Hoseok’s lips in a kiss that was both demanding and restrained.

The kiss was nothing like their last—this one carried the weight of all the unspoken words, the simmering tension that had been building between them for far too long. Yoongi’s lips moved against Hoseok’s with a purpose, a mix of possession and unspoken need that made Hoseok’s knees weak. Hoseok hesitated for a split second, but the warmth of Yoongi’s touch, the way his hand gently cradled the back of Hoseok’s neck, pulling him closer, made resistance impossible.

Hoseok melted into the kiss, his hands gripping the fabric of Yoongi’s shirt as if it were the only thing keeping him upright. He let out a soft, involuntary whimper as Yoongi deepened the kiss, the sound only encouraging Yoongi to pull him closer, his other arm snaking around Hoseok’s waist to press their bodies flush together. Hoseok’s mind went blissfully blank, every thought drowned out by the sensation of Yoongi’s lips moving with a possessive urgency that sent sparks shooting down his spine.

Yoongi’s hand slid up to tangle in Hoseok’s hair, tilting his head just enough to deepen the kiss further, his tongue teasing the seam of Hoseok’s lips until he parted them with a soft gasp. Yoongi took full advantage, his tongue sweeping into Hoseok’s mouth in a way that left the omega breathless, his body responding instinctively to the alpha’s touch.

Hoseok’s world narrowed to the feel of Yoongi against him, the taste of him, the way his fingers pressed into his skin like Yoongi couldn’t bear the thought of letting him go. It was intoxicating, overwhelming, and Hoseok found himself kissing back with a fervour that surprised even him, as though the walls he’d carefully built around himself had finally crumbled, leaving him defenceless in Yoongi’s arms.

When they finally broke apart, both panting and dazed, Yoongi kept his forehead pressed against Hoseok’s, his breath mingling with Hoseok’s as they struggled to catch up with the reality of what had just happened. Hoseok’s eyes fluttered open, meeting Yoongi’s gaze, and the intensity in those dark eyes made his heart stutter.

Yoongi smirked, his thumb brushing gently over Hoseok’s cheek. “Stop running from me, cupcake,” he murmured, his voice soft but carrying a weight that Hoseok couldn’t ignore. “Because I’m not going to stop chasing you.”

Hoseok’s breath hitched, his heart hammering against his ribcage, but he didn’t pull away. He stayed right there, wrapped in Yoongi’s arms, his resolve shattered and his emotions laid bare. For the first time, Hoseok allowed himself to hope—hope that maybe, just maybe, this wasn’t a game they were playing anymore.

Hoseok stayed in Yoongi’s embrace, feeling the steady rhythm of the alpha's heartbeat against his chest. The weight of Yoongi’s words hung in the air, and Hoseok couldn’t ignore the raw sincerity in them. For the first time, it felt like the facade of their relationship—the fake marriage, the strategic moves, the public appearances—was peeling away, revealing something more complicated and real underneath.

Yoongi’s fingers traced a slow, soothing pattern along Hoseok’s spine, grounding him in the present moment.

“I'll be taking Yoonji and mum to Korea till the mission is over,” Yoongi murmured, his voice softer than before, carrying a warmth that Hoseok hadn’t expected.

Hoseok raised his gaze to the alpha, understanding why that was important. He nodded his head as an approval, afraid that his voice would betray him if he spoke.

Yoongi let out a soft sign, pressing his nose to the omega's hair. "And I want you to go with them." He completed, hoping, just hoping the omega would comply.

Who was he kidding.

Hoseok frowned, pulling away from the taller's chest. "Why?? You promised that I'll be with you!!" He enquired, his voice slightly raised...
