"I... uh... I w-wanted to ask for a favour"...
____________

...What favour...

Cute

Yoongi wanted to laugh.

Instead he held it with a barely noticeable smile as he watched the fumbling omega. It never occurred to him that Hoseok could be this cute.

Yes, he was pretty, he was beautiful and everything, but Yoongi never imagined him acting all cute. It was fun and endearing to watch.

"What favour?" He asked, letting the omega know he was all ears.

Hoseok hesitated, still unable to meet Yoongi’s eyes as he struggled to find the right words. The nervous energy coursing through him made it difficult to speak, and the intensity of Yoongi’s gaze didn’t help.

“I... I want to help,” Hoseok finally blurted out, his voice wavering. He forced himself to look up at Yoongi, trying to appear more confident than he felt. “I want to be involved in whatever’s going on. I don’t want to just sit around here doing nothing.”

Yoongi’s expression remained stoic as he watched the omega. “You know why that’s not an option, cupcake,” he said, his tone firm but not unkind. “It’s too dangerous, I can't let you.”

“I’m not asking to be thrown into the front lines,” Hoseok quickly replied, his frustration bubbling to the surface. “But I can’t just stay locked up here while everyone else is out there risking their lives. I’m not some helpless omega. I can contribute.”

Yoongi studied him for a long moment, arms still crossed, his gaze sharp and calculating. “What exactly do you think you can do?” he asked, his voice low.

"My father... and my step mum. I can help you get to them... I don't know how exactly they're connected to this, but I'm certain they have a huge part in all these mess." Hoseok answered quickly, hoping to sound as convincing as possible.

Yoongi’s expression remained stoic, not attempting to hide his skepticism about the idea. “Planning is more dangerous than you think cupcake,” he said, reaching out for a stack of papers behind the omega. “One wrong move, and you could end up in more danger than you already are. I know you're planning on taking your revenge on them, but moving closer to any member of your family at this period is really dangerous. Now that they know you're out in the public, they'll try every means to get you back... for their own profit. He completed, pulling out a picture from the middle of the papers.

"Do you know who this is?" He asked, raising the picture he'd just pulled out to the shorter's line of view."

"Yeah?" Hoseok answered, his brow raised. "He's the one that led those intruders in some months ago... the one with the rose and fire tattoo... the one that came to take me."

"Do you recognise him from anywhere else?"

Hoseok shook his head, unsure of where the taller's questions was leading to.

"Look very well... maybe there's a similarity somewhere that you haven't pointed out." Yoongi pushed, taking the picture closer to the omega's face."

Hoseok frowned, pushing the taller's hand away from his face. "Okay, what's the matter here? Are you trying to divert the topic to something else??"

A soft sign left Yoongi's lips as he dropped the picture on the table. "No. He's one of the reason why I don't want you to take part in this mission... Since you don't know, I'll let you know now. He goes by Jay, but his real name is Jung Heunseok... your twin brother."

Yoongi stopped talking to study his reaction, and it was just as expected.

Hoseok's frown deepened, staring flatly at the elder like he'd just spoken gibberish. "That's not possible! I don't have a brother! talkless of a twin!"

Yoongi pursed his lips, seeming to look unphased by the shorter's little outburst. "Yes you do. You were both separated right from birth. If you don't believe me, you can go through this." He said, handing him the papers he'd been holding. "It contains all of you both details from birth till now."

Hoseok stared at the papers in disbelief, before shifting them to Yoongi, not wanting to believe all that he was saying. "y- you are lying." He muttered, sounding unsure.

"Unfortunately, I'm not." That explains why I first suspected that you were a part of them when he intruded my mansion. But turns out I was wrong, he also doesn't know you're related..."

"That can be an advantage then." Hoseok interrupted. "If all what you're saying is really true, and he only knows I'm a JADE, I can serve as a bait then, the only people I need to be wary of is my father and step mum."

"A bait?? No cupcake, you don't get it," Yoongi shook his head. "You're already a bait. All that is happening right now, the news of our marriage both to the public and within the mafia especially is already more than enough danger for you."

Hoseok’s frustration flared again. “I’m already in danger, Yoongi! I’m the Jade, remember? I’m the reason all of this is happening. You can’t just keep me hidden away and pretend that’s going to keep me safe. If I’m involved, at least I can have some control over what happens to me.”

Yoongi sighed heavily, rubbing his temple as he considered Hoseok’s words. “You’re really stubborn,” he muttered, almost to himself.

Hoseok’s heart leapt with a glimmer of hope. “Does that mean you’ll let me help?” he asked, trying not to sound too eager.

Yoongi didn’t answer right away. He seemed to be weighing the risks and benefits in his mind, his eyes locked on Hoseok’s. Finally, he let out a slow breath and nodded. “Fine,” he said, much to Hoseok’s excitement. “You can help with the planning, but under one condition.”

Hoseok’s heart raced as he nodded quickly. “Anything.”

“You follow my lead,” Yoongi said, his tone serious. “No going off on your own, no taking unnecessary risks. You do exactly as I say, and you stay within the parameters I set. Understand?”

Hoseok nodded again, relief washing over him. “I understand...”
