"Yoonji go get your brother,
breakfast is ready."

...when are you getting married?...

Hoseok's eyes went wide at the hearing of that, immediately regretting choosing to come out of his room. He had thought he'd be able to avoid the alpha for as much as he wanted.

Who was he kidding? He knew he was going to bump into the alpha one way or the other, but he didn't wish it was this soon, he still found it hard to comport himself in front of him.

He let out a frustrated sigh, pinching on his nose Bridge, wishing he hadn't listened to yoonji.

"Alright mum!!" He heard Yoonji say, already feeling the mischievous grin in her tone as she hurried up the stairs.

He should have known better, this was a part of her plan to let them meet, she probably had suspected the tension between them.

"Hoseok? What's wrong?" Mejin queried, noticing how tensed the younger omega suddenly became, her worried gaze on him as she sat next to him.

Hoseok shook his head, attempting to hide whatever anxiety that was building up. "It's nothing." He muttered, his tone sounding unusually off. "Maybe a little bit stressed." He added, sitting up in a proper posture.

Mejin kept quiet for a while, studying him before she spoke. "Is it Yoongi?"

This earned a frown from the younger omega, turning his gaze to her. "What do you mean?"

She gave a quiet chuckle, patting his back gently. "It's pretty obvious, you both have been avoiding each other since we moved here. He always tries to divert the topic each time a discussion about you comes up, and same goes with you."

Hoseok cringed, folding into himself in an attempt to look smaller, "is it that obvious?"

"Of course it is!!" Mejin laughed, her head falling back. "Everyone around here noticed, even yoonji knows."

Hoseok let out a frustrated sign, stumping his head gently on the counter, his messy bun loosening, making his hair fall down his shoulders. "He makes me feel... different." He confessed, finally voicing out his thought. "I don't know how to act confident in front of him anymore, his aura alone dominates everything around me and I feel myself getting weak and volunerable at just his presence. That has never happened before, it only happens when he's near me. I hate that feeling, I just want to be far away from him as much as possible so I can be normal again."

Hoseok rose his gaze to see mejin smiling widely at him, her full gummy smile in display.

He groaned, pushing her hands away from his back. "Don't smile at me like that! It's not something to be happy about."

"Oh trust me sweetheart, it's something to be happy about." Mejin giggled "it's normal for you to feel different when with him, it's called feelings if you don't know it yet, and trust me, you don't hate it, you getting weak and volunerable around him means you feel save and protected, and his dominating aura is your omega's response to his presence."

Hoseok felt his face going warm with all that she'd said. He didn't want to admit it, but he knew all that she'd said was right. She's an omega herself and she'd had more of these experiences than him who didn't even know anything.

The sound of feet jogging down the stairs brought their discussion to a halt, and Hoseok found himself getting nervous again. He hadn't even faced the alpha, yet he could feel him.

"Morning mum." Yoongi greeted, taking his seat on the dining. He probably hadn't noticed the omega, or he was pretending not to.

"Pretty!! Come to the dining!!" Yoonji called out, taking her seat next to her brother.

Hoseok had his eyes shut, gritting his teeth, with his back still facing the dining.

Oh how he wished the ground could open up and swallow him right now.

"Hoseokie" Mejin called out this time, and Hoseok took it as a que to get up, composing himself for what tension was to come next.

He could feel Yoongi's gaze on him already as soon as he got up, and he did everything to avoid looking at him as he approached the table.

He cursed under his breath when he realised he'd be sitting right opposite the alpha.

This felt really akward, Hoseok couldn't stand it. He had his gaze fixed to his plate as he settled down, still feeling the alpha's intense gaze on him.

Mejin began dishing their meals, ensuring to add extra of all that was on the table into Hoseok's plate. They began eating in silence until Mejin decided to break it, not able to stand the tension between them.

"If you both are having problem with each other, why not just talk it out." She spoke, her gaze concentrated on her plate, as she placed a chunk of meat from her plate to Hoseok's plate.

All six pears of eyes rose to her, all with different expressions, already knowing what she was implying, one with a grin, one with a frown, and one with pink hue dusted on his cheeks.

Mejin raised a brow, raising her gaze to her son. "What? Don't pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about." She pointed out, shifting her gaze from yoongi to Hoseok.

"You both have been acting weird around each other since we left the motel. I don't know what's happening, and I don't wish to pry, so I suggest you both talk it out... in private." She finished, emphasizing solely on her last two words.

Yoonji let out a mischievous giggle, turning her full attention to her brother, like she had been waiting for this moment to come. "So... Opah." She began speaking, "when are you getting married... to Hoseok."

Yoongi's eyes went wide, flashing with that of surprise at her bold comment. Hoseok found himself choking on his water, spitting it to the floor in an instant, coughing. His face burnt crimson red. he felt his heart pounding wildly in his chest. He couldn't believe Yoonji had just said that, and in front of everyone no less.

Mejin shot Yoonji a stern look. "Yoonji, enough," she said firmly. "This isn't the time for jokes."

The little omega shrugged, pushing her now empty plate to the middle of the table. "What? I'm stating the obvious."
