With that, Yoongi ended the call,
his thoughts still swirling with uncertainty.
He had made his decision,
but it didn’t ease the unease in his chest.
This mission was only just beginning,
and he had a feeling it was going to test every limit he had.

...you're not my dad...

By the time Yoongi returned to Hoseok’s room, the omega was fast asleep, pressed between a new set of the alpha's clothes scattered on the bed. It seemed like the cold shower had actually worked for them both, for he now had a peacefully sleeping Hoseok, and his temptation to claim the omega slowly fading away.

He let out a soft sign, sitting on the bed next to the omega, his mind drifting back to his recent discussion with Namjoon. There was no need telling Hoseok...

right???

Morning came quicker than expected, and Yoongi realised he hadn't slept all night. He found himself getting busy with work again. Thankfully, Hoseok was yet to wake up, and it looked like his remaining heatwave would be less torturous since he had already gone through them first two most unbearable ones.

He left Jimin in charge of the omega while he busied himself in preparation for tonight's conference. It was supposed to be a peaceful one despite having majority of his enemies attending the conference.  And since it was deemed peaceful, he was to go alone, maybe with one or two guards, there was nothing really serious about the conference. He just needed to be in their mist at that moment to know the potentials of whoever he was dealing with. This also meant he was putting his own life at risk, but unfortunately, he didn't think deep into that.

Hoseok got to find out from Jimin unintentionally, that Yoongi was heading out tonight as part of their long awaited mission, and Hoseok, being the stubborn being he is despite his present condition wanted to he a part.

So here he was, in front of Yoongi's study, about to open the door. He ended up not touching the door, for it opened itself, and there Yoongi was, yanking him inside, quicker than light itself.

Hoseok yelped, eyes tightly shut, surprised by the sudden action. And when he opened them, there was Yoongi standing arms crossed in front of him, hard gaze boring into his orbs.

Hoseok found himself shrinking at the hard gaze the alpha was giving him, suddenly loosing his confidence in whatever he came for.

"What are you doing outside all by yourself?!" Yoongi flared, his tone firm and angry.

Honestly, Yoongi didn't mean to be mad. Maybe the tension of the workload, together with his newly overprotective behavior towards the omega was a reason. He had sensed the omega approaching even before he had gotten to his door, confused and at the same time, angry as to why he was outside of his room.

"You know so damn well how dangerous it is to be lottering outside during your heat!" Yoongi went on, not sparing the omega a space to defend himself...

"You're not my dad! Stop yelling!!" Hoseok flared back, finally finding the courage he thought he'd lost, more annoyed at the fact that the alpha wasn't given him the time to speak than his actual yelling.

Yoongi's expression remained stoic as he glared at the omega and vice versa, though a little bit taken aback by the omega's outburst. It's been really long he'd seen him retaliate.

Hoseok's arms crossed over his chest, his hips dipped to the side in a sassy posture, still glaring at the alpha. "Will you listen to what I have to say?" He asked, his voice lower this time, but still holding it's stance in their tensed moment.
