CHAPTER 44: TERMS & CONDITIONS

Speaking of the devil,
just as he was rounding up the hallway he was presently in,
he caught sight of Hoseok,
leaning against a railing that was separated a few inches from the glass wall,
his gaze stuck outside,
watching the armed guards roam around the large vast of land.

Yoongi suppressed a smirk as he pushed himself forward, silently making his way towards the omega.

It looked like Hoseok wasn't aware of the alpha's presence at first, for he suddenly flinched when he felt the alpha lean on the railing beside him.

Hoseok turned his gaze to the alpha with a raised brow, but his eyes instantly went wide as soon as he realized who it was. He averted his gaze back to the glass wall quickly, his cheeks dusting pink on both sides.

'what's he doing here?! How did he get here?! How didn't I notice him coming?!' were the thoughts that kept running in Hoseok's mind as he stared unfocussed outside the glass wall, heart beating faster than it normally would.

Silence loomed in the air for What seemed like forever for Hoseok. He was so much tempted to leave, but leaving would give a hint to the alpha that he was avoiding him. He didn't want that, for he suspected it would give the alpha more reasons to tease him.

"I see you're having a great time." Yoongi finally said something which wasn't helping the omega one bit.

Hoseok turned to him with a raised brow in an attempt to morph his anxiety. summoning up enough courage, he asked " why? Is it better for you seeing me not having a great time?"

A light chuckle left Yoongi's lips as he averted his gaze from the glass wall to the omega. "I don't mean it that way. It's just really weird seeing you outside. You never step out of your room... unless you're planning something... you're not planning on running away again, are you?" He asked in a teasing tone.

This earned a scoff from the omega. "It's no use anymore." He muttered under his breath.

"no use?" Yoongi repeated with a fake curious brow. "Why?"

Hoseok turned to him with a glare. " your dumb questions isn't working. If you're looking for someone to make fun of, that's definitely not me." He spat, pushing himself off the railing to begin storming off.

He wasn't halfway gone when Yoongi decided to stop him. "About the contract-..." he paused, watching the omega halt his step.

He pushed himself off the railing, making his way towards the omega. "Have you decided yet?" He asked, standing a few feet behind the omega.

Hoseok remained quiet, contemplating if snapping at him or just saying a simple no would be the best answer.

"Cupcake-..."

"No." Hoseok answered, still backing the elder. "I haven't." He completed, ignoring the fact that the alpha had just called him with a pet name. That wasn't the first time Yoongi would call him that, it just felt really different now.

Yoongi let out a soft sign, hands going akimbo over his hips. "The longer it takes for you to decide, the longer the duration of the contract becomes, and also the longer it is for me to start operating on whoever those people are.

Hoseok turned to the alpha with a huge frown. "You said it's just two years! No where in the contract states longer duration!!"

A small smile formed on the alpha's lips, realizing how naive the omega could be. "It's still gonna be two years cupcake, but only when you make a decision will the contract be effective. The longer it takes for you to decide, the farther you push it."

"Oh." An unconscious pout formed on the omega's lip, realizing his mistake.

"So.." Yoongi took a step closer, his teasing aura returning "...what's your decision."

Hoseok raised a brow, giving the elder a flat stare. "That's non of your business."

"Oh it is." Yoongi said, a hint of mockery in his tone. "I'll be your husband for those two years, so it's my business to know what you decide."

"Contract husband." Hoseok spoke through gritted teeth.

The teasing smile that was on the elder's lips turned to a wide genuine one. "Does that mean you're agreeing with the contract?"

Hoseok couldn't help but glare at the Alpha. "Fuck you!" He spat, turning around and storming off.

"Don't forget to read the terms and conditions too!" Yoongi yelled out behind him, chuckling to himself as he watched the omega storm off.

Yoongi's chuckles faded as he watched Hoseok disappear down the hallway. He leaned back against the railing, the amusement still lingering in his eyes. He couldn't help but admire the omega's spirit, even though it often manifested as defiance. It was one of the things that drew him to Hoseok, making their interactions all the more intriguing.

As the corridor grew quiet, Yoongi's thoughts drifted back to the looming threats they faced. He knew he needed to keep his focus sharp and his plans meticulous. Hoseok's safety depended on it, and so did the stability of their precarious situation.

Yoongi's mind was still on Hoseok when his phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out and saw a message from Namjoon.

"Meet me in the control room. Got some updates on Jay and the Roselias."

Yoongi straightened up, his expression turning serious. He typed a quick response and headed towards the control room, his thoughts already racing ahead to what Namjoon might have discovered.

As he entered the control room, he found Namjoon hunched over a series of monitors, his eyes scanning through lines of data. The room was dimly lit, the glow from the screens casting a blue hue over everything.

"What's the update?" Yoongi asked, coming to stand beside Namjoon.

Namjoon looked up, his expression grim. "I've managed to dig up some information on Jay. It turns out he's not just a close relative of Hoseok. He's his twin brother."

Yoongi's eyes widened in shock. "Twin brother? How is that possible?"

Namjoon nodded, tapping on one of the keyboards to bring up a series of documents. "It's all here. Birth records, medical reports... everything points to the fact that Hoseok and Jay are twins. They were separated at birth for reasons unknown, and each was raised unaware of the other's existence."

Yoongi ran a hand through his hair, trying to process the revelation. "This is really confusing, this still doesn't explains why he's after Hoseok.

"Hoseok is a JADE Yoongi, he's here because of that."

'So you're trying to tell me he wants to claim his own blood?"

"That's because he doesn't know Hoseok is his brother." Namjoon heaved out. "If he knew, he wouldn't have made any attempt... unless he has ill intentions against you or Hoseok..."
