Yoongi nodded,
his gaze fixed on the road ahead.
“He’s been quiet for too long.
It’s not like him to sit on the sidelines,
not with everything that’s happened.”
He paused,
tightening his grip on the wheel.
“And if he’s involved,
we’re dealing with something much bigger
than just a few rookies trying to make a name for themselves.”

...no chances...
A week had gone by now and Yoongi still hadn't heard anything from Hungjae. He knew the man was up to something, there was no way the old man could stay silent till now.
Jimin's research had given them a head start on who the sniper came from. And you might be surprised on who they were. Though, connected to Hungjae, he wasn't really a big plot of this new rival. Jay also had a very big connection with this person, and Yoongi wasn’t even surprised. The person in question went by the name Jung Mirae... Hoseok’s father.
Yes, you read that right, Jay had found a way to get their father involved in getting Hoseok from him. It wasn’t a mafia group. It was just a small legal security corporate that worked for the government. Except that whatever activities they were doing was nothing close to legal. Now yoongi understood why the silo had still been standing till now.
This seemed like a little applause for Yoongi, for now he could find a reason to make a visit to the man that sold his son to child trafficking business in exchange of the federal security power some years ago.
Yoongi leaned back in his chair, fingers tapping lightly on the armrest as his eyes scanned the dimly lit room. The news had left a sour taste in his mouth, but it wasn’t entirely unexpected. Jung Mirae—the name alone had long been a stain on Hoseok’s life, a shadow that had never quite gone away. And now, after years of silence, the man had crawled back out from the depths of his dirty dealings, aligned with Jay no less.
Yoongi clenched his jaw, suppressing the surge of anger rising in his chest. Hoseok had suffered enough because of that man, and now he was at risk of being dragged back into the chaos he had fought so hard to escape. The thought of Jung Mirae working with Jay stirred something primal in Yoongi. They were both threats to what he held most dear, and this time, Yoongi wouldn’t leave any loose ends.
He glanced at the file Jimin had compiled on Mirae’s illegal operations. The corporate front was just a mask—beneath it, Mirae ran black-market deals, sold information, and trafficked human lives. But the fact that he was working under a legal guise, even with such power in the government, made it difficult to strike directly. Yoongi would have to be smart about his next move. A single misstep could bring unwanted attention from the authorities or worse, put Hoseok at even greater risk.
A knock on the door pulled him from his thoughts. Jimin slipped in quietly, his usual easy-going demeanor replaced with one of concern.
"We tracked down one of Mirae's recent transactions," Jimin began, handing Yoongi another file. "It looks like he’s been moving assets under a different name—through Jay’s connections, of course. But here's the twist: he’s been setting up a series of private security contracts, possibly preparing to move Hoseok if he ever gets his hands on him."
Yoongi’s eyes darkened at the thought. "He won’t get that chance."
Jimin nodded, but his eyes flickered with unease. "There’s more, though. Mirae’s been trying to clear his name publicly. If we go after him without careful planning, he’ll paint us as the aggressors, and Hoseok… well, you know what that could do to him."
Yoongi sighed, pushing the files away for a moment. Hoseok had been through enough humiliation at the hands of the press, the mafia, and now, his own family. There was no way Yoongi would let his omega be dragged into another public mess. But Mirae needed to be dealt with—quietly, decisively, and without leaving a trace.
"Where’s Hoseok now?" Yoongi asked, his tone calm but the underlying tension unmistakable.
"With Yoonji and Jin hyung. They’re keeping him company. He’s getting anxious again," Jimin replied softly, concern evident in his voice.
Yoongi nodded. Hoseok was good at putting on a brave face, but Yoongi could always tell when the pressure was eating away at him. As long as Hungjae and Jay, his biggest threats were still alive, the danger looming around them and most especially wasn’t over. Not when Mirae had also gotten involved
"Keep him distracted till I'm back, I'm flying to Korea tonight. I need to make a visit to Mirae. I should be back by tomorrow." Yoongi stood, straightening his shirt, his expression hardening as he locked eyes with Jimin. (My apologies. I don’t know how far Russia is from Korea. I don’t know how many hours it'll take to get there and back. So for the sake of this storyline, let's all just assume it'll take two to three hours.)
"You’re going to confront him? Alone?" Jimin asked, eyebrow raised.
Yoongi’s lips curled into a dark smirk. "It’s time Mirae and I had a little chat about family values."
Jimin exhaled, clearly uneasy, "it's best he knows about this, it's his father we're talking about.
Yoongi sighed, shoulders slumping. "If he knows, he'll want to come with me. I don’t want that."
That's obviously going to be the case Yoongi, it wouldn't be too nice on his side if you leave him out of it
"Alright, Alright." Yoongi rolled his eyes, picking his Jacket from the jacket holder. "I'll let him know.
As expected, Hoseok wanted to go with the alpha, but Yoongi laid down a condition for him which he surprisingly agreed to, no argument. Actually, all Hoseok wanted was to kick the old man and his step mum in their butt for creating this messed up life for him.
Whatever Yoongi was going to do to him after wasn’t his business anymore. He'd long left that for the alpha to handle.
They were using a private jet, so check in process wasn’t at all needed. In less than an hour, they were already in the air, heading to the country where he once upon a time called home.
