Hoseok gave a bitter scoff,
feeling helpless at the moment.
"Isn't it best to just take my life then?!..."

...morning pretty...

Hoseok woke up to a pounding head the next morning, eyes swollen and aching. He had cried himself to sleep the previous night.

He gave a dry scoff, sitting up from the bed. He couldn't remember the last time he cried. Maybe the day Swan and V was suddenly being whisked out from the silo.

(OK if you don't know, these two are the two other friends he'd made back at the silo, although he didn't spend much time with them before they were taken away.)

Swan was an omega, just like him and Mako, while v was a beta. The one and only beta among all other prisoners. Although he hadn't even spent up to a month with them when they were taken away, but the four of them were the closest among other prisoners, since they were there before him, they thought him a lot, and even helped him in terms of his health.

A sudden knock on his door snapped him out of his thought, and the omega found himself getting up,dragging his foot sluggishly towards the door. Opening it, he was met with the cold morning breeze and a silent hallway.

He frowned a little, checking around once again but still not finding anyone. He was about to close the door when he sighted a small parcel on the floor. Checking around one more time, he picked the parcel, closing the door behind him.

Scanning the parcel for a few seconds, he didn't waste his time in tearing it open. In it sat a small note that read: 'you might need this. You don't need to find me. Sorry it's best I remain anonymous to save both our lives.'

Under the note was a full brand new bottle of iron pill, the exact one he always used.

Hoseok dropped the bottle, hurrying out of the room immediately, with the hope of catching up with whoever had dropped the parcel in front of his door.

That was his secret, no one else was supposed to know. Whoever this person is surely knows more about him, for only a few knew this much about him, and these few were no were near his life presently.

His chase got halted when he bumped into Jungkook In the hallway.

"Morning pretty." Jungkook spoke, brows slightly furrowed as he watched the hasty omega.

"Did you see anyone around this place." Was Hoseok's response to his greetings, eyes scanning around him.

"No? What's the matter?"

Hoseok signed, fingers combing over his hair. "Who else is in here besides us both?"

"Jimin."

"Jimin?" Hoseok repeated,  his head tilting to the side. "He wasn't here last night."

"Yeah, he came in this morning. Yoongi ordered us both to take you back to the mansion."

Hoseok remained quiet, different thought running through his mind.

Was it Jimin? No he didn't think so, besides Jimin was here for a reason. He could remember Yoongi telling him the night before that Jimin and Jungkook would be his guard. He preferred it that way tho, for Yoongi had only given him two options, which were Mabel or Jungkook. He didn't want any of the two, so Yoongi had lightened the option by adding Jimin.

He was free to do whatever he wanted now, walk around the mansion as free as he wanted, but only under the thorough supervision of Jimin and Jungkook, wherever he was, they both had to be there. Though he wasn't given the freedom to leave the mansion.

It's not like he could escape now that he knew a little more about himself. If he needed to be set free, he would need a lot of actions and changes in history to do that. Everything he'd planned for his future was on a pause for now. Honestly, he didn't even know if he wanted to fulfil any of that anymore for his entire existence seemed worthless to him now.

What is the essence of still being alive if my existence is seen as nothing but a mere property.

"Hey!" Jungkook called out, waving in front of the omega. "Is everything okay? You seem spaced out."

Hoseok signed, shaking his head, "Yeah, I'm fine." He answered, making his way back to his room. "Where's your Don?"

"Uhh... he left early this morning with Namjoon for some important business deal." The alpha answered, tailing behind the omega. "You should get ready, we're heading back to Yoongi's Estate."

The omega hummed, disappearing back into his room to begin freshening up.

Hoseok was quiet throughout their ride back to the mansion, with only Jungkook and jimin conversating among themselves. They hadn't failed to notice the omega's sour mood in the morning, and had chosen to let him be, afraid that he would snap if they pestered.

Hoseok on the other hand was in his own little world, gaze stuck outside the window,  monotone gaze on the passing landscape. His mind was a jumble of thoughts, his heart heavy with the weight of the present situation he found himself in.

He could feel his anxiety spike as their car approached the estate, the large black gates that now seemed more like a prison door to him coming to their line of view.

The car came to a stop and Jungkook opened the door for the omega, ushering him out. "Come on in pretty, Jimin Will lead you to your room." He said smiling, not sure what to do to make the omega feel better.

He wasn't sure what was wrong, but he was certain it would have to do with Yoongi, for his moodiness only started when he'd left Yoongi's office the night before. Plus Yoongi suddenly appointing him as Hoseok's guard and giving him a set of rules wasn't sitting right with him.

Hoseok let out a soft sign, making his way out of the car, the cold morning breeze brushing his loosened hair over his shoulder. He took in a deep breath, steeling himself for what was to come, eyes fixed on the imposing mansion that now seemed to loom over him like a prison.
