As they stood there,
Seokjin couldn’t help but smile at the sight of them.
For the first time in a while,
things felt just a little bit lighter,
even with the weight of the world pressing down on them.
They were a team now,
and together,
they could face whatever challenges lay ahead.

...What a surprise...

Things seemed to be going fine for Hoseok, or so that's what he thought.

Yoongi was often busy, out on missions, too occupied to mess with him.

This made it easy for Hoseok to meet with Seokjin and the rest as much as he wanted. He got jealous and envied his friends when he realised he was the only one among them that wasn't working, all because he was a JADE. Instead, he was being protected by the walls of Yoongi's mansion like he was some isolated, overpampered princess.

It was no secret anymore that Hoseok and Yoongi were married. Though only the few people close to Yoongi were aware that it was based on a fake contract.

The public were made to believe that it was a real marriage. This surprised the public, for no one knew who Hoseok was.

However, this news caused an uproar within the mafia community, for they instantly knew Hoseok was the JADE they'd been looking for.

The contract marriage wasn't entirely protecting Hoseok as Yoongi had promised. It only served as a stamp on him to make people know he was already owned "legally", and anyone else who wanted to take pocession of him would have to go through hell to do that... not even Hungjae.

Hoseok didn't like where all these were going one bit. He noticed the security around him had become tighter. He hardly saw mejin and Yoonji, and even when he did, they were all surrounded by guards, living them little to no privacy. The only time he could have his private time was in his room. Even his door was guarded by two fully armed bulky looking men. Every floor and every hallway he turned to had one or two guards standing there.

What annoyed him the most was the fact that he couldn't take part in all that was happening because Yoongi deemed it as "dangerous" for him.

He let out a low scoff, reminiscing in his thought. Yoongi was acting like he was some naive little princess, like he wasn't the same person that unalived the bunch of intruders that hurled into his mansion some months ago. Like he wasn't the same one that almost burnt down his mansion on his first day, defeating his men and out smarting him at the same time.

So here he was, all alone, gaze grazing past the glass wall, to the wide field that seemed endless. Having stood there for too long, Hoseok decided to move away, strolling mindlessly through the corridor, until he came to a stop in front of Yoongi's study. He scanned at the door for a while, contemplating if it was a good idea to go in. He knew Yoongi wasn't around, and didn't know how Yoongi would react if he saw him there, since Hoseok hardly visited unless Yoongi requested his presence.

After so much contemplation, he finally decided to go in. The room was dimly lit, the faint mixture of mint and pine wood scent illuminating the air. Hoseok was already very familiar with this scent, he had become pretty comfortable with it as time went by and found it even addicting, unconsciously craving for more of the alpha.

As he stood in the middle of the room, his eyes landed on the map spread across Yoongi’s desk. It was covered in markings, places circled in red, with notes scribbled in the margins. He traced his fingers over the lines, trying to piece together the plan Yoongi was weaving. It was intricate, brilliant even, but it all hinged on him being the lure.

He was too concentrated on trying to read out the map to hear the sound of the door creaking open.

"What a surprise."

Hoseok shrieked, spinning around in an instant to see Yoongi standing behind hìm, his hands dipped into his pocket as he glanced smugly at the shorter.

“I wasn’t expecting to see you here.”

Hoseok straightened up, letting out a relieved sign, realizing it was just Yoongi.

"Yeah, sorry to intrude-..." he paused, biting into his bottom lip anxiously, contemplating if it was a good idea to ask for the favor he wanted.

His little action earned a raised brow from Yoongi. "What's on your mind?"

"Huh?... uhh... n- nothing." Hoseok answered, being snapped out of his thought. "I'll take my leave now." He added, slipping away from the front of the alpha, making his way towards the exit.

"You haven't told me why you're here." Yoongi's voice cut through the silence, blocking Hoseok's part just as we was about to touch the door.

Hoseok got startled by his swift movement, stumbling two steps back.

"Oh! Hah!" Hoseok gave a nervous laugh, his gaze everywhere else but Yoongi's. "Nothing actually, I was just strolling and happened to find myself here."

Or was that really the case?

Maybe because he was hoping to meet the alpha there, and maybe ask for a favour. A favour he already knew the answer to. Yoongi wouldn't let him partake in anything for his "safety." But he was still going to try convincing the alpha anyway. The problem now was all his confidence went down the drain as soon as he sighted the alpha.

Yoongi's still raised brow and unmoved expression told Hoseok he wasn't buying his partial lie. He moved towards the omega, and Hoseok knew to retreat as he approached.

Well it was until his back hit the large glass table behind him did he realise he was trapped.

He leaned further into the table, practically sitting on it as Yoongi closed the gap between them.

"You're lying." He finally spoke, which did nothing to calm Hoseok's racing heart.

"C- can you step back?"

"Not until you tell me the truth." Yoongi responded, his hands resting on either side of the omega, leaning even further than he already was.

"Okay! Okay! Will you step back now? I promise I'll talk!" Hoseok heaved out in a panic, his head tilted to the side, with his eyes tightly shut.

Yoongi gave a light chuckle, taking a little step back from the almost wrecked out omega, his arms crossed over his chest.

"So... what is it?"

"Umm..." Hoseok unconsciously began fiddling with his fingers, gaze concentrated more on his fiddling fingers than anything else around him.

"I... uh... I w-wanted to ask for a favour"...
