Chapter Thirty

Todays is Monday and first day na magsusuot kami ng school uniforms namin. Thank God, dumating na din. It took them two weeks din to finish our uniforms.

We have two pairs each. And then one pair of PE uniform.

Ang cool ng uniform dito sa LAVSA kahit simple lang yung color and design. It is comfy. Not too loose, and not too tight. Saktong sakto lang sa sizes namin.

The skirt is not too short. Plus yung three inches below the knee white socks and black pair of school shoes. Ang ganda. Super cool.

We're here at the campus na. Inside our classrooms, waiting for our teacher to arrive. Dumaan din kami sa LA para kumuha ng notebooks and some papers we might be needed later.

And while waiting, I just busied myself in scrolling through my phone.

Hindi naman maingay sa room namin since kasama namin si Colet and Gwen. And them being a member of their famous group, the Quadro, our schoolmates kind of feared them. Not even daring to make any noise since Colet really hates noise.

Katabi ko si Gwen pero nakayupyop lang sya sa armchair nya. Probably taking a short nap or ganito lang talaga sya magpalipas ng oras kapag bored. I don't know. We're not that close naman though may times na nag-uusap kami about some things.

Pero for a short time lang. A few minutes, ganun. Especially, Gwen does not really speak much. She just listens and say a few words if she needs to. But most of the time, talagang tahimik lang sya isang tabi, nakikinig lang qt nag-o-observe.

"Ang pangit ng drawing. Psh!"

Napalingon ako agad sa pwesto nina Loi at Cols because of that. My brows immediately became furrowed when I saw them staring at each other.

Staring contest yarn?

Bahagya akong sumilip sa kanila para makita ng malinaw kung anong klaseng titigan ang ginagawa nila. But I instantly regret doing it kasi hindi lang pala basta titigan ang ginagawa nila.

It's not a staring contest but a GLARING CONTEST!!

Nakakunot ang noo ni Colet habang lumalaban ng titigan kay Loi na ang talim naman ng pagkakatingin sa kanya.

Uh-oh! I felt the tension coming from their glaring contest. Shoot! I need to do something to stop them from glaring at each other or else it will be a huge trouble. Argh!

Saglit akong nag-isip ng paraan and sakto namang paglingon ko sa may pinto ay papasok na yung teacher kaya nagkaroon ako agad ng idea.

"Ehem! Guys, andito na si Miss!" Medyo nilakasan ko yung boses ko para marinig nung dalawang nagpapataliman ng tingin sa isa't isa.

And that stopped them naman and agad na nag ayos ng pagkakaupo. I even heard Loi's deep sigh to calm herself.

Nakahinga ako ng maluwag. Thank you, Lord. Phew!

Pero medyo natawa ako nang mag-angat ng tingin si Gwen na kanina lang ay nakayupyop sa armchair nya. But still the same, nonchalant pa din sya.

We greeted our teacher and we started our first formal lesson for her subject. Our first subject is Science and it's about Chemistry.

Tahimik lang na nakikinig ang buong klase. The teacher would asks some questions and she would a random names from the index cards she's holding to answer the question.

(A/n: Ang mahiwanag index card. Say eyy🤙 if na-experience nyo to. 🤣🥲)

Hindi naman mahirap yung lesson so nakakasabay kami. And hindi din naman strict yung teacher kasi she allow us to use our phones para makapagsearch kami ng answers sa mga questions na binibigay nya.
